I sent a quick letter to USCIS about the error, the service request about it and the expedited SMRT before taking the time to put together a new I-765. It was signed for by Laura Zuchowski, the director of VSC! Is that common?

I googled, called around to ask attorneys who do VAWA for recommendations and called around to find somebody who does decent psychological evaluations in Miami. Here is what I found out. Everyone quoted around $600, but for one therapist who charges $1,500. Only the latter writes very extensive evaluations of 14-22 pages. Others 4/6/9 pages. All of them do it in 2 sessions, one session being about 3 hours of one-on-one, the other you doing the tests. Then they take a couple of weeks to do a writeup.

Free or sliding scale places I have been referred to ONLY had counselors on staff, no psychologists.

francis0619 you do not have a VAWA case because you have a GC .

To file an I-751 waiver based in extreme cruelty, you have to prove bonafide marriage. I-751 waiver to prove bonafide marriage is a bit different from VAWA cases. VAWA filers can explain why they could not get documents showing bonafide marriage,

You need to submit proof of joint bank account, tax returned filed jointly, lease agreement, car insurance, health insurance having each others listed as a beneficiary etc, if you do not have these documents then your I-751 waiver probably will be denied.

another anxious you do not have to find someone to draft 22 pages, you need a psychologist to draft a GOOD evaluation, of course drafting 3/4 pages the psychologist cannot even mention 1/3 of the abuse suffered. I had hundreds of VAWA approved with 7/9 pages (psychological evaluation), and even two people without any evaluation (VAWA based in mental abuse). I always mention a good evaluation will have 15/20 pages, but it does not mean that all evaluations with 20 pages are good. I read a bunch of ####### evaluations with 15 pages.

Sandra, this makes absolute sense. So far though, I haven't had one name mentioned twice, so I do not know how to ascertain the quality beforehand. Not a single person I spoke to does the 4-6 meetings to really familiarize herself with the case. A good thing is that I will have some records and an earlier evaluation from my treating therapist to provide them with context.

I have a little time to think about it all while I am trying to find money.

Hi sandra, thanks for always helping us get through our paperworks.. How can I expedite my ead? Should I call or write them a letter? If letter, is there a standard template for that? And what are their requirements to expedite the EAD? I am only living with a friend and I cant continue to count on them for too long. I really need a job.. Im hoping that my situation is valid enough for them to consider..
