Dear all, Sandranj reviewed my psychological evaluation and has agreed with the IO that it is essentially... well, #######. My therapist does not understand what is needed from her, saying that the instructions I got from this board are "very vague" and that she does not know anyone in the profession who writes 20-page evaluations. Could somebody (maybe with I360 approved) please please please PM me an anonymyzed version of theirs? I would be so grateful!

That's insanity. You gotta PTSD and i dont understand what prevented her telling what caused you to develope this in details. Abuse is the sole factor. I can't believe she's a Ph.D

She should have multiple tests to diognose you. Ask her to give you the copy of tests she used. You may used it for evidence.

Apparently she does not have any experience in working with people who have their cases pending. Clinical psychologists are used in a lot of insanity plea cases in murder trials. The evaluation is their job and it's used as curcumstantial evidence when there's no witnesses. VAWA cases are no different than any other cases since it's required evidence. Any licensed psychologists should not need to see a sample to draft an evaluation.

What a disgrace. How could she call herself a therapist ?

Sandra - you are sick, dear, that's why you have a day off! Sorry I did not guess that the only reason you would not be working would be sickness or some emergency, seeing how hard-working you are even beyond your day job. Please, get better soon! I cannot imagine how you handle all this pain and suffering you know without being sick all the time. When I volunteered with orphans and abandoned dogs, I took things really to heart and cried at nights.

Leilabird - yes, she mostly does neuropsychological evaluations for e.g. ADHD. She HAS been very helpful over the past 10 months and I think it would look quite dodgy if I asked somebody else to do a write-up on my case when I have a therapist I see weekly. She basically gave my background, stated results of the tests, explained them, and gave the diagnosis. Ta-dah! I am praying she will not be all scientific and say in the end 'Oh, I cannot say this, I was not there'.

Do you have an evaluation I could show her? Just blank out your name and any other identifying details

Mine had no samples to share and said this barely 5-pager was "very good" and I believed her at the time. I learnt better than to trust her since November when she was supposed to have submitted my file after I collected all the documents. So long as I paid the whole amount by a certain date… It was received by USCIS in the second half of February.

I am sorry your spouse managed to hurt you physically, I have often felt ashamed for running away before he could come through on any of his threats. I have felt like "not a proper victim"

Leilabird, thank you, that means a lot! My father was abusive when I was growing up, and I would always say his explitives towards me hit far worse than his blows. But I couldn't help feeling ashamed every time I saw my bunk mate's (at the shelter) disfigured face.

You know how they say that if I took one blow (and what if it was my last one?!) my case would have been so much easier. That without it I sort of cried wolf. I bet it wasn't an easy road for you with physical abuse, whatever they say.

You are right about this USCIS questioning all my hard-earned evidence feeling like continuation of abuse. It was like, uh, at least 600 pages... Also thinking about it all and Sandra being very unhappy with how my case looks as submitted (evaluation AND affidavit)... My symptoms that have been so faint of late have come back anew. I am hardly sleeping again even with tranquilizers. And they still have not even given me a work permit yet so I can have money to pay for copies, transcripts etc! Let alone an attorney, for all the good the last one has done...

another anxious tell your psychologist that the instructions that you got here are "very vague" because people here in this thread are not psychologists,SHE IS! We are not here to teach a psychologist to do her job. Not all evaluations that I submitted had 20 pages.I have many cases approved with 7/10 pages.

When a psychologist states " she said she was verbally abused by her husband", this kind the statement has zero weight if the psychologist does not describe how the person was verbally abused, what words were used, when etc.

I understand your impatience and frustration, Sandra. My only explanation is that this is not the sort of assessment she is accustomed to doing. An ADHD or autistic spectrum child is another matter.

Do you advise that I provide evidence of me having seen my current therapist for close to a year, but obtain what they appear to call an "immigration evaluation" elsewhere?

I am really concerned that may be found suspicious.

Okay, i understand, but cannot tell if it was expidited, i know they have requirements before that can be met, and it has to be dire, e.g family illness etc. i wish you the best, we all went though alot with our spouses, and i pray your case is resolved soon. I am still waiting for my interview to be reschuled since they sent it to a wrong state, but I know God's timing is the best. This process is very daunting, you feel depressed, anxiety, have bad thoughts, you just have to keep yourself busy, try your best not to worry. It's hard, but you have to be strong, that's what this forum is about.

Uscis work on their own time, just keep checking timelines to make sure you are under the correct processing time, if not, Use infopass.

Im not sure about you i485, but from others, you should have your interview within 3 months of your case reaching your local office.

hey mama of3 , why did they reschedule ur interview?

im kinda concerned that they will not schedule my interview at my attornys local office, cos im in Georgia and she is in Indiana.

Hey Amikah,

My lawyer is in a different state than I, so uscis may a mistake using my lawyers local office for my AOS interview instead of using my home address (my local office). So this is what i have been trying to fix, and they are taking their precious time.. Everyother thing has gone smoothly, so i am very thankful to God. Everything shall work for my good, so I do not stress anymore.

Yes, my interview was in may, so we sent a letter to them, to correct the mistake. Just waiting for them to fix this error. No news yet though, i booked an infopass to speak to a human  , hopefully that should help. It is well...Thanks
