NorthArcher, congratulations! Time to start a brand new life)))

Quick question, did your online case status change after interview was scheduled? I mean, before you received your interview letter, did the online status show something like "Interview scheduled..."

Yea, I see. A few other people in this thread reported the same. For vawa AOS, it looks like USCIS online case status is useless after case is transferred to NBC.

Thanks for quick response my friend.

Dodgertown, addition to your question,in my case, my online status changed to "interview scheduled"

i received online notification via email, found out about my interview before my attorney did.

I believe it depends on where you local office is.

Oh really? I think you are the first one here to be so lucky)))) at least here, in VAWA part 6 :) Let's see if my online case status changes soon, still waiting for an interview to be scheduled.

hey guys,

My I 485 was transferred to Local office and its now in Missouri USCIS office, its based on an appoved case, my Vawa was approved in May the 18th but I got the approval notification in June the 6 th, and on june the 10th they transferred my i485 to another USCIS office, so my attorney received two notification letters one was that my case was at a local office and the other one is that is now in Missouri USCIS office.

does anybody knows what that means, am I gonna get my interview notice next? please share with me, my process so far went very quick since my attorney ask them to expidite my case.

I filed I 360, I 765 and I 485 together in February, went to my Biometrics first week of A[ril,I got my Ead card first week of May, May 18th vawa was finally approved after I send them police clearance and now im waiting for my Interview.

Amikah if your case is in Missouri now,Missouri is not your local office. You live in Atlanta then your local office is located in Atlanta. NBC is in Missouri.Congratulations on your VAWA approval.

I believe your attorney ask to expedite the work permit, if you had an AOS pending at the time he requested to expedite, because when USCIS expedites a VAWA case they take maximum 10 days to adjudicate, and your VAWA case took 3 months.I have VAWA cases approved in 2/3 months, and I did not ask to expedite, then I doubt your VAWA was expedited, anyway Missouri probably will take 2/4 months to ship your case to your local office, and they will set up the interview, some local offices can take 2/7 months to set up an interview,it depends of their workload.

hey Sandra thanks for texting me

yes my attorney was telling me that it was sent to my local office and from there they sent it to NBC in Missouri, so I don't know if this it is how it supposed to be

my attorney put the expedition in when she was sending out the whole package to USCIS, it just took me so long to get my police clearance because they sent me a RFe for good moral character after they received my package, and we sent the RFe back 5 or 6 weeks later, that's why everything was on hold.

after vawa approval how do they proceed with the I 485 case?

Amikah, you are saying from the very start, your case was expidited? if yes, what was the reason? Because cases take btw 2-6 months for approval from what ive seen here on VJ, so this doesn't sound right..

hey mamaof3

my attorney put a request in to expedite my case when she sent out my package to uscis, the thing here is I don't know if its expedited or if its being processd as any other case.

I had to flee from my husband with my two babies, I left the state and went to a shelter of dv in another state, I didn't have no money neither support than from the shelter, since that time im still living in the shelter with my babies, my fees for the applicantions were also waived, now im being patient to get hopefully my I nterview soon,

Okay, i understand, but cannot tell if it was expidited, i know they have requirements before that can be met, and it has to be dire, e.g family illness etc. i wish you the best, we all went though alot with our spouses, and i pray your case is resolved soon. I am still waiting for my interview to be reschuled since they sent it to a wrong state, but I know God's timing is the best. This process is very daunting, you feel depressed, anxiety, have bad thoughts, you just have to keep yourself busy, try your best not to worry. It's hard, but you have to be strong, that's what this forum is about.

Uscis work on their own time, just keep checking timelines to make sure you are under the correct processing time, if not, Use infopass.

Im not sure about you i485, but from others, you should have your interview within 3 months of your case reaching your local office.
