Hey VJ members I just want to share some exciting news with you guys. In less than 2weeks since I joined this forum and voiced my concerns, my prayers have been answered. To God be the Glory. I pray that all the waiting VJ members will get their approvals very soon....??

Congrats!!!!

I am so happy for you, see.. You just have to be patient with these people, this is the first hurdle, so take things easy, God's in control...

Hi everyone. I was referred to this site by a friend who thought it'd provide some much needed emotional support for my very frayed nerves. It has proven to be an invaluable forum so THUMBS UP Y'ALL. I filed my VAWA case in October, 2014 and to date there's been no RFE and no updates either. Does anyone know how to check your case status using the USCIS online tool(the way some people seem to be able to know exactly when their case gets touched by the processing office etc)

Thanks Tink88 for your response. I did set up an account with USCIS but everytime I check it all it shows is that my case was rec'd in Oct. I even went as far as to do an e-query and instead of sending a response to me, they mailed it to my attorney. So I'm thinking if you have an attorney they won't allow you to check on your case directly??

Good morning all,

I just got this email. (Maybe it has been explained before) What does it mean?

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On May 4, 2015, we transferred your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, Receipt Number EACXXXXXXXXXX, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case.

Thanks!
