MAMAOF3 USCIS will not give you any information regarding your VAWA case over the phone, they are not allowed to discuss your case, not even with you!

If you call them and do not mention anything about VAWA, just ask about I485 they might give you the information where is your I485, but when giving the information if they realize is a VAWA case they will stop giving the information right away.I know a few people that USCIS gave them information over the phone, but they did not mention about their VAWA cases of course.

I called Customer Service and gave them my I485 receipt number and based on the Information I provided she advised me that they are currently handling cases received In September 2014 (mine was received In November), therefore It's considered to be In the normal processing times. However, she explained that I should call back within a month or so If I haven't heard anything from them.

This still didn't satisfy my concern because adjudication of my i485 depends on the outcome of my VAWA application. So In any case I'd still need to know the status of my i360 beforehand. Sigh.....just going through the anxiety and confused blues,,,,,,the fact that I haven't received an RFE gives me the Impression that my case Is at a standstill. Pushed to the side....

Motherof 3 you should not count when you filed the AOS(November 2014),because the AOS was mailed to Vermont, not to the local office .Once the VAWA is approved Vermont will ship the AOS to the NBC, after 2/4 months the NBC will ship the AOS to the local office and then you start counting. After VAWA approval most aliens wait 3/5 to attend the AOS interview, but because your local office is in NYC you will 7/8 months to have your interview, and add to that the time the file will be in the NBC.

I agree with mamaof3. It ks a stressful journey with many different episodes. You will have break downs, then you will fill hopeful, then anxious, then sad, everyday a different emotion. I remember just before my greencard came, I had a melt down. now I have my green card. Just trust and believe GOD. Occupy your mind with something else. Take on a project and you will see the time will fly. School helped alot for me, it sometimes distracted me. And aslo meditating works.i hope everyones journey ends soon.GOD BLESS all of you guys on here. and always remember to thank Sandra for all that she does.
