Hey everyone.

I submitted my VAWA beginning of December 2014.

Have gotten my Prima Facie a week later. (Valid until June 9)

So far I have not gotten an RFE.

Usually it is decided within 4-5 months right?!

I am just getting a little nervous now...

My AOS EAD AP based on my marriage which was filed before VAWA got denied and I refiled.

They received it end of March...

Will I have to re do Biometrics?

Does anyone know?

Also my AOS receipt notice and case status states : Accepted by Lockbox (Fee previously collected)

Whilst my EAD states : Fees waived....

I had submitted a fee waiver for both.

I had submitted the denial letter from my previous AOS. Do they just take the fee from my previous one which I had paid for?

My AOS and EAD were denied, because of lack of sufficent affidativ of support...

Which now under VAWA I did submit a waiver for...

Thank you again to Sandra who was there for me, when I was just devistated and broken by the denial. It was a huge shock, as I was hoping to be working soon =/

I've had a pending I-485 before I even filed for vawa, I applied for EAD last year while my vawa was pending using code c9 and sending my I-765 application directly to the vawa unit. My i-360 vawa case as now been approved for almost a year and it is now time for me to reapply for EAD, what code should I use c9 or c14, and where should I send my I-765 application to?

best. but.strest. Put C 9 category , and submit to Vermont (VAWA uni)t.

Did you file an e request to find out what's going with your I485?

Ok thanks I will do that.

For my I-485, I called the customer service number, I did 2 infopass appointments, also got the congressman involved but got no information or advancement in my case. I submitted a request to the ombudsman over 30 days ago but got no answer from them. Do you think an e request will help?

Hey Sandra,

So i had infopass this morning, the officer said my case was not at my local office, because the address on my receipts is my lawyer's. My lawyer is in a different state so i find this puzzling. I did my biometrics at my local office not my lawyers state, so why would my case be sitting at the local uscis office of my lawyer? Is this normal or what? Do i just remove my lawyer from my case before they can send to my local uscis office? this is for my Aos, vawa approved already. Thanks...

MAMAOF 3 your lawyer MUST inform USCIS that you will attend interview WHERE YOU live, and not where he has his office,i dont understand why he did not inform yet. If the Lawyer doe snot inform USCIS then USCIS always assume that tge interview will be where the Lawyer office is located, because of that a good lawyer will inform that to USCIS without the client ask for.We had here in the VJ 2/3 cases like yours, the lawyers failed to inform USCIS and their files went to the attorney's State, instead where the alien lives.

I always advise people to inquire USCIS through E REQUEST, well I will not advise this anymore, because today I could see how messy USCIS are handling some VAWA cases. I helped one person here in the VJ with her VAWA and because her case was taking long time(5months) I said to her to submit an e request, she submitted 10 days ago, well yesterday USCIS answered her saying "The case is on hold waiting the RFE answer", but she never got any RFE. Yesterday I advised her to go to infopas, she was able to set up an appointment for today. The infopass informed that her VAWA was approved over 30 days ago, that being said the information she received yesterday from USCIS was wrong, about the RFE. Despite she filed G1145 she never got any email or text message from USCIS, and she did not receive the approval letter either. I had another case that his VAWA was approved 4 months ago, and he did not know about the approval, he found out because I told him to go to infopass.

One more case approved today YAY.
