Hi everyone, just had my interview and it went smooth! The only thing I was asked for was my permanent resident card, driver license & passport. There were some basic questions asked from the application and I was done in 20 minutes! Next step oath! yay!

Finally - I received a text message that my Oath Ceremony has been scheduled . It has been almost 8 weeks . I am just waiting for the letter in the mail . My journey is coming to an end . .

Hey guys, was anyone in here interviewed in the Holtsville Long Island Office?. I would just like to know how long after you did your interview was your Oath Letter mailed. My hubby did his Interview on June 18 and they told him his Oath Letter would be mailed in a week but it hasn't been yet. I am trying to get a estimate of how long it will take.

My interview was June 2nd in Holtsville and I received the letter on June 19th for a July 7th oath ceremony date in Central Islip. I received a notice on June 15th that they mailed the letter but I'm not sure where they mailed the letter from, it doesn't take that long for a letter to arrive from Long Island to Queens so I was stalking the mailbox all week long. Maybe they put the letter in a stack to be mailed but not sure it's actually mailed the day they claim it is.

Talk about stress.

Did anyone apply for a US passport at the Passport Agency in Manhattan the same day of their oath ceremony or next day? I tried to make an appointment but the next available appointment is the same day I'm traveling. I made my travel plans back in April thinking I would have citizenship by at least mid May ( I have friends that had their citizenship applications take a total of 4 months).

My oath ceremony is July 7th and I'm traveling on July 14th. The reviews online for walk-ins at the agency all seem to get their passports same day or next day. I plan to get on line at the passport agency by 6am on the 8th. I literally have 4 business days to get this passport.

@Bajangal76 I'm taking my father tomorrow after his oath ceremony straight to the Manhattan passport agency. We are leaving on the 8th next week so hopefully we can put in for it and pick it up the next day. I'll let you know how things go
