Hello everyone,

please help with your experience and information ....i did apply for citizenship and did my fingerprint on February 04 2015 and until today i never received any updates online or any thing ...online said CASE WAS RECEIVED only ...my field office is NEWARK NJ and i did meet couple of guys did their fingerprints after me with few days and they got the interview appointment on MAY ....is any one here got similar situation please advise ...thanks everyone and good luck for all of us.

At this point there is nothing you can do, calling USCIS number will be useless. You will hear same thing that you see online, Your case is still under normal processing time. Newark shows 5 months for N-400 application. So by July end if you dont hear anything then you can make an inquiry.

Normally after Bioethics it take anywhere from 1 month to 4 months to schedule for interview.

I had my bio on 2/25/2015, and i am waiting for my interview, people in my same office who had biometics 3 weeks after me received interview letter...

The yellow letter is simply a letter acknowledging that the USCIS has performed a complete review of your file and it also lists any documents that they need you to bring with you to your actual interview. For example, the letter I received today lists to bring all passports and travel documents, expired or not, issued by any government to the interview.

Hi guys!

I had my interview on Thursday and I couldn't have gone any better. The appointment was for 1:30 pm and we checked in at 12:50. They called my name at 12:55 and we were out the door by 1:35 pm. The IO was friendly but to the point. Most of the interview was administrative/paperwork stuff. The interview questions that I remember were:

1. How old must you be to vote in an election?

2. What ocean is on the west coast?

3. What do the 13 stripes mean?

That's all I can remember, sorry guys. We went through my application and he asked to see my drivers license, passport and selective service registration. He didn't flip through my passport though. At the end of the interview I offered this years tax return info and he thanked me for being extremely organized. Needless to say, he recommended my case for approval! He said to expect an oath letter in "30 to 60" days. I did request to change my name but I hope it doesn't take that long though. we're thankful that we're that much closer to closing this chapter and starting a new one!
