I got an email yesterday that I have been scheduled for an interview too. I am starting to get nervous while waiting for the letter in the mail.

I went in line for an interview March 3rd. But now that its scheduled I'm assuming for next month,my nerves are wrecked.

My father is front NYC as well, he was put on line for an Interview on February 24, 2015. However he is still online when i check his status update. Beginning to worry now because we have a trip outside of the US planned in July. Its been almost two months since he has been on line and a lot of the people placed in line after him have received interview notices within nyc.

I took the Solemn oath today for Citizenship. It was very great event. There were 493 sworn citizens today from 66 different countries. The top three were Mexico: 85, India: 62, then China: 47 I think. There was a third grade class that sang the star spangled banner.

I thought I had the perfect application, always file my taxes, never got arrested for anything. I got two speeding tickets though (paid fine immediately) that I forgot to mention. Maybe that causes the delay? Also, I have serve in a foreign military (Germany) for a year. Could this raise a red flag and cause a delay in the processing?

Well, you applied in January, so it's been 3 months... most applications seem to be taking 5-8 months at most offices and longer at some.

So if you are placed in line for interview next month, then have your interview in June and take your oath in July, you'll be right in line with average processing times.

So I don't think there's a "delay" in your application or any reason to suspect a "red flag"... this is a process that takes most people over six months.

I think you shouldn't worry about it. If you haven't heard anything by this time next month, you might want to schedule an infopass appointment just to check up on things.
