Obamacare can we even apply for it?

My hubby is official a us citizen for several years now. And unfortunately due to an event. We are looking at maybe applying for obamacare. The catch is we will be going to access. That is what most people are getting. The problem is we signed that 10 years agreement where we would never borrow from the government or become a burden to the USA. So now what can we do? Can we apply for obamacare or will we get in trouble because they would automatically give us access. Which I do not want. But, might have to take. Got injured at my work a year ago.

Does anyone know?

14 Nov 2006- Recieved Passport with K1 Visa and a Sealed Envelope

23 Nov 2006- POE Chicago..way easy..asked easy questions, boarded the flight for Phoenix to meet me lol!!

07 Dec 2006- Applied for SSN

21 Dec 2006- Recieved the SSN

16 Dec 2006- Got Married with my Jatin woooohoooooo!!!

Good evening with the law requiring everyone to obtain insurance you must get coverage or face a penalty applying for Obamacare is not considered a burden on the government as it is required I am an insurance agent who specializes in Obamacare.

Be sure to get a PPO policy. Do not fall for the El Cheapo HMO insurance.

When you did your K-1 or CR-1, the AoS states you cannot benifit from a means-tested benifit for +/- 10 years, which in your case would be MEDICARE.

However, this is

1. Only for the foreign national

2. No longer applicable once the foreign national becomes a US Citizen

3. If you have an ACA-approved health insurance plan (which you MUST have by law ! ), this is something YOU pay for, and thus not a means-tested benefit.

So all you need to do is enroll in an ACA-approved healthcare plan, pay for it, and you're all set !

Please be aware that some plans have certain blackout periods for some treatments, but existing conditions will not prevent you from already enrolling in the plan.
