Hi all,

My fiance entered US a week ago and we are applying for her SSN. They require a digital copy of I-94, but when I try to obtain that form this site listed on VJ, we get "Not Found" error. Can we just get the SSN by showing them her K1 visa? or is there any other way to get a copy of I-94?

Thanks in advance

(organizer hat off)

If all other remedies fail, you may have to contact a CBP Deferred Inspection Site to get your I-94 corrected: http://www.cbp.gov/contact/deferred-inspection/overview-deferred-inspection

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I've seen a lot of people talk about it taking some time to get the I-94 on the system, and I'd like to clarify one thing.

It's your MOST RECENT entry that takes a while. If like me, you have met in person in the US before, then the I-94 has a list of all those times you have entered before.

So...if you have been to the US before, then you are getting the 'not found' error because you have done something wrong, and need to follow the instructions more carefully and try again, as at the minimum you should be able to see your previous visits..

That is weird :-( I was able to get my wife's and daughter's I-94 right after a few days from entering.

IMPORTANT!!!!!

Make sure you have entered your fiance's name as it appears on the passport i.e. first name, middle name, all last names exactly as it appears on the biograhical page of the passport, otherwise you will get an error.

If your fiance has two last names enter both under last/surname ..... The same goes for the first name, under first (given) name, if your fiance has two names a first name and middle name, enter both names in the field not just one.

I hope this helps :-)

I double checked all the info, it's all correct. I think they misspelled either her first or last name. I think I have to call them up and find out. Thanks for your message.

We applied for SSN 3 days after my fiance entered the US. Downloaded the I-94 2 days after she entered. Try to see if you are inputting the passport info correctly or try to see if there is anyone you can call. I am not sure about applying without the I-94, maybe it can work.

We had to call to get my husband's I-94 form. Originally his first name was only one letter on the I-94, and they didn't put all his last names (there are 4). We didn't know how they had listed his name on the I-94 as it was different than the passport and visa, so they investigated for us, fixed the errors and printed it off for us.
