K3 is effectively no more.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

K3 is pretty much obsolete. You're looking at k1 vs cr1. Both have equal pros and cons and take roughly the same amount of time. For example k1 pro: get to spend early married life together while you adjust. Con: takes up to 90 days to receive work authorization after applying for AOS. Is also more expensive.

Cr1 pro: can work immediately on entering USA con: if no direct consular filing available, it's a year of married life apart from eachother.

I don't know that one or the other path is necessarily easier. You'd be looking more at what better fits your situation.

VJ's comparison guide should help. It lists approximate times (try the stats for the specific country for more info) and costs, as well as positives and negatives for each visa type. As another poster said, the K-3 is effectively no more, so you'd be looking at K-1 (fiance[e]) or CR-1 (spouse).

2014 2016 2017: I-130 packet direct to Frankfurt

Frankfurt's "steps" to DCF:

Step 1: I-130 Petition Checklist (PDF, from their USCIS page)

Step 2: Immigrant/Fiance(e) & K-Visa Applicant Checklist (PDF, from their Appointment & Interview page)

yup. i just checked. Thank you.. Though K1 is more expensive.. it is the easiest and fastest. CR1 on the other hand is the cheapest yet separation to your husband/wife is longer.

Happy new year :jest:
