Guns are handy. I have used guns as a makeshift paddle. They work well for felling smaller sized trees( shotguns work great for this) If you get a kite stuck in a tree, they will save you a trip up the tree as you can usually just shoot the branch off.

I'm just going to throw this out there. If they were shooting BB guns and the police were aware they were BB guns then they aren't going to shoot. That is different than a bb gun that is silent and no one has any information on its capabilities.

That is probably smart. I think since cops are so paranoid these days, it would be better not to sell toy guns period, no BB or pellet rifles, no paint ball guns, not even nerf pistols. Outlaw them all, and then cops could have a legitimate reason to shoot anyone packing anything that even looks like it could launch a projectile. Nail guns, staplers, all of it.

Why does it have to be underculture? It's a valid point. Two guys load bb guns and shoot up a store. They get arrested. A man talking on the phone gets shot with a toy gun in his hand. He's shot dead. What's wrong with this picture?

Marvin you are the security expert on here ... you have all that training you say . .. Facts are what little we know . The pair with the bb guns met with the security guard at the store. . He was the one that talked to the police department. Maybe even called them . Sounds like they had not paid for the BB guns . Sounds like he did not allow them to walk out of the store with the stolen merchandise .. Police got there and security officer tells them the description of the law breakers. and they are arrested with out any dangerous weapons on them
