U.K. Passport Renewal

Right, I apologize in advance if this has already been answered elsewhere. I can't seem to find it.

Paul's U.K. passport expired and we need to get it renewed. He went online and applied and the Declaration he printed out says is needs to be mailed to Her Majesty's Royal Court in England. He opted for the U.K. check and send service. My question is what is the best method of mailing the documents to the U.K.? What have you all done?

Depends where Paul is. If he is in the USA then you need to opt for that option. They have strict guidelines with regards to where the applicant is. If he's in the UK a standard renewal shouldn't take 3 weeks and have it sent recorded delivery and it isn't usually a problem. I updated mine 3 days ago and opted for the premium service where I collect it the same day. You can also extend your current passport if abroad for one year I believe, I don't know if that applies to expired passports though.

Thank you for your reply. We're in the US. He ended up just going to the Post Office and asking them what was the best way to send it and they fixed him right up with Priority Mail.
