Dear Visajourney members,

Can a 22 yr old US Citizen file for petition to his father from Philippines? The son only works part time her in US and he's college student also. Does he need to have a fix income to be able to petition his dad?

Yes

If you do not earn enough you can use a co sponsor.

The co sponsor can be anyone, a relative, friend or co worker.

As long as he/she is a:

- US citizen or Green Card Holder

- tax payer

- willing to sign the Affidavit of Support

- meets the income requirements
