Notice to Immigrant Visa Applicants: Medical Examination Process Update

We did the USEM interview the next day after completing our second medical exam at SLEC because we were DOT for 7 months.

If you decide to do the USEM next day after completing medical and you had an issue at medical, then don't expect your sealed medical envelope to be at the USEM before the interview. SLEC will probably deliver it that next day, but the USEM isn't going to sort the mail that early in the day. The USEM did however let us do the interview without the medical envelope and no 221g.

One additional thing we found when we did the interview the day after medical was that fiancee's picture was not in the system at Step 1 (finger print scan). I thought this was a little strange because they had our original I-129f application with passport photos since May 2014. So the CO opened our original I-129f application and sent us 2 windows away to have it scanned in.

It will be interesting to see what photo appears in her visa. The one we sent in with our application or the new ones we had done for SLEC.
