Our case is now ready at USEM. My fiancé wants to wait for the letter from NVC before we pay for the visa fee and schedule the interview. Do you think we will still able to get a slot for february if he received the letter by January 2015? How long does it takes for the letter to be received by the petitioner?

Last time I looked there were several open USEM interview appointments for January, however the February calendar had not opened yet. I would suspect there will be several February appointments available once the USEM opens that calendar.

If the USEM already has your file then the petitioner should receive the NVC letter soon that contains the MNL #.

Hi,i just got off the phone with NVC they said that starting January 2 they will start the interviews for February

Very possible but K-1 and IR/CR-1 get their interviews scheduled differently. For the IR/CR-1 NVC may be able to schedule for February before the K-1 has access to that calendar.

Hi. My fiancé is still not getting the nvc letter which has the manila case number. He will try to call them this monday. I learned that there is a new update in the medical exam. Will the letter be needed still which has the manila case number when going to the medical exam?

The new update to medical does not change the requirement to have the NVC letter/email at medical.
