I wish we were having the same issue in my area of Texas.

They are building house everywhere and I would assume 98% of the people are illegal aliens mostly from Mexico.

I see landscape trucks/vans running the streets with nothing but vehicles loaded like sardines with illegals doing the work, They mow, weedeat, blow the yard for $20 per yard, of course it a cash and they pay zero taxes on income and homeowners pay zero sales tax.

I hope soon that Texas will pass immigration laws that will effect business and person whom hire or transport these illegal alien.

I can see cities in Dallas area that have become trash due to all the illegals living 10 to 20 people in a house, selling drugs, and the crazy part is basically they are immune from police for crimes like DWI or stealing or having drugs since the local police don't want to mess with them since it is a waste of time to issue them a ticket or jail them.

This can't be right. Obama's action on immigration will bring millions new undocumented migrants to this country. I'm sure I've read that somewhere. Are the Cali farmers saying that that ain't true? Are they calling the members of the right wing echo chamber liars?

California solved much of it's problem with invading migrants by building a wall across its southern border, the first state to do so more than 20 years ago. However, ever since then, the state has been experiencing a shortage of seasonal farm workers. It is surprising, really, as these workers can usually make several times the minimum wage. That is not saying Spanish speakers are not working in other industries, they are. They even flood the state with available day laborers. You rarely see English speakers hanging out looking for work, or in the fields, vineyards, and orchards. They would rather panhandle or sit on the couch collecting Obama bucks, rather than do an honest days work.

That would be a very unwise assumption. Many Americans in Texas look Mexican because, historically, Texas used to be a part of Mexico. There are families who have been in Texas for generations.

There are already laws in place to prevent anyone from employing illegal immigrants but in the end many businesses pay no heed to them.

What does that wall to the south solve if everything's wide open to the East? There are plenty of states that have no land border with our southern neighbor yet have plenty of illegal migrants. I live in such a state. And just to pre-empt that, the migrants do not come across the Gulf.

I thought they raft in from points south.

California is not as open to the east as you think, not that many routes to enter the state because of the terrain (mountains, desert). These migrant farm workers are heading to states like Washington on their northward journey once they cross in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas.

Those are Cubans which attain legal status if they make it to the shore.

I blame Obama.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
