You have a tight connection for arriving with a K-1, with no margin for error with regards to any delay of your inbound flight or slow processing at immigration and customs. O'Hare is a large airport with several terminals and requires A LOT of walking, particularly in the United concourses. Immigration is efficient, but very busy. Upon arrival, I would suggest telling the personnel that manage the immigration queues that you are arriving with a K-1 visa/document packet and have a short connection time. They're not going to let you jump the queue, but maybe they can help to reduce your wait by pointing you in the right direction. It's often a good idea to check the airport web site for terminal maps and familiarize yourself with the airport layout so that you can find your way around faster. Better yet, if feasible, try switching to a later connecting flight to your final destination.

Congratulations, and welcome to the USA.

I agree, cutting it close. It all will depend how many arrivals come in at one time. The immigration line is always long. Also keep in mind after you get through immigration,if no issues, then you have to find your luggage, then there's a chance of getting your luggage checked before walking through the doors to check in for your connecting flight. As a USC I've been stuck in line over two hours getting out of there due to several arrivals at once.

My wife, it took her 2 hours from landing to out the door. She came on a K1 and no issues through immigration just the long line.

Good luck to ya and welcome to US!

Good Luck and welcome to the USA but is a very tight schedule. I would have a back-up plan if you do not make your connecting flight.

Once through Immigration you have to get your luggage and exit building through the doors to give them your luggage for transfer, then up the escalator to tram to get from terminal 5 to your connecting terminal either 1.2.or 3, then re-enter security to get to your gate.

Any delays and you are in trouble. Chicago in winter is prone to delays.

If possible I would try for a 3-4 hour layover just to be sure.

I am a USC and have gotten through once in a 2 hour window, usually 3 hours is the normal time i try for connecting flights

Its just a busy airport with many international flights coming in at any given time.

Good Luck !!!!
