Status still reads 'Fingerprint Fee was Received' Since July 31

Is anyone else having a similar experience? When I check my case status it reads:

Fingerprint Fee Was Received

On July 31, 2014, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC1491454xxx. Our Nebraska Service Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I had my biometrics appointment on Aug 28 and received my EAD/AP at the beginning October but heard nothing since?

I have been reading similar timelines on visa journey, could this mean that I am an interview waiver case? Although I never received a waiver letter :/ Also some people seem to be in the same situation but have been waiting 8/9 months and I'm only at 5 but it does seem like a like time to not hear anything at all?

Would it be worth contacting USCIS to see if everything is OK and How would I go about doing this?

Please be patient... I know it is difficult. Only waiting 5 months is not very long. Since you have gotten the EAD and AP combo card I would be led to believe that there isn't any problems with your AOS petition. It is just taking some time to process it. Try to remember you are dealing with goernment employees..., and, if they did everything today what would they do tomorrow?

I don't think you need to worry. I am in the same boat as you. my wife filed her 485 in oct. 2014, her online status is the same as yours still. Stressful I know, but hopefully things should move along soon.

_{1 update for you.. I received a letter saying my interview my be waived.... That's it. At least that means they are still working on the case. Online it still says "fingerprint received" this has not changed in 6 months of waiting..}
