I am very stressed out with this situation. I sent the request to remove conditions back in April 2014, hubby did biometrics in June without issues. In November 2014 we receive a notice saying they need more evidence before they can approve the request to remove conditions. I sent a lot of evidence including joint tax filing, photos, vacations, health insurance statements, bank statements etc.

I was shocked and dissapointed. I NEVER thought this would not be enough for them and now I am scrambling to gather more evidence before 02/09/14. This time around I am adding more bank statements, more photos, 2 affidavits from family, a car loan together, a personal loan together, our home lease etc. I am praying this is enough but I am nervous. I have some questions/concerns that I hope someone can help me with..

1. They game my husband an extension for his green card until April 2015, will they give him another extension if by that time they have not made a deicision to approve him or not, I am terrified that when April comes we will still not have a decision which would technically make him illegal in USA. Is he gonna have to go back to his home country? HELP?????

2. I also thought about writing a letter written by myself explaining and affirming our marriage etc. Is this going to be frowned upon by them? I was also thinking of including in the letter that anyone from immigration is welcome to visit our home anytime to prove we are indeed a legitimate couple.

3. We just recently this month refinanced our car loan and I decided to add him to the loan, will this be suspicious since it was just done very recently.

I appreciate your time. Waiting eagerly for a response if any of you have any experience with this type of situation.

Hey Steph, this sucks!! I'm sorry you guys are going through this. I was stressing out when we got a RFE too but it looks like you pretty much have it handled. I had originally only sent in joint tax info, pictures, insurance info, beneficiary information, and one month worth of bank statements. I had no evidence showing that my husband lives with me because our apartment is under my name as well as the bills. So this time around I sent in all of our bank statements since the beginning, pictures of our recent vacation and our drivers license. Did you send in your driver license because that'll show you guys at least have the same mailing address which was what I wanted them to get out of it. In my cover letter I explained why he wasn't on our lease and the bills associated to the apartment. I wrote in my cover letter that if they wanted to visit our home, they were more than welcomed too! In my opinion, I think you guys will be ok! I read somewhere on here that apparently Vermont will RFE ROC applications so that they can reset their processing calendar since their so far behind. I'm not too sure if that's true but it makes sense. I can email you my cover letter is you need some type of basis on what to write :) good luck!!

I will also do different things that we both get in the mail with the same address. This sucks :-( I wil def write a few key points in my cover letter as you did as well. I will invite them to my house lol. I would be happy if they came, we have nothing to hide. THANKS a bunch, I am more calm now.
