Hi everyone!!!

As I am filling out my documents, I have come across something that is incredibly confusing to me.

I was told as a Canadian who entered as a tourist, I would put down "Canadian- no i-94" or something on forms when asked for it. However, someone drew my attention to the US border patrol website which you can search for your electronic i-94. Turns out, I do have a number.. I would have NEVER known this without this website!

I've never received a paper one crossing as a tourist!

Anyway, on the i-485, section 1 asks

"current USCIS status" and "expires on"

My i-94 had me enter August 21 and says valid until September 1st of the same year.. Is that not a little strange? DOn't Canadians have 6 months as tourists in the country? Perhaps the border patrol officer wrote that because I expected to exit at the end of the month (but clearly circumstances changed)?

Should I indicate that date under "expires on"?

Is my status B2 or "expired B2?"

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

I've seen posts that say to put "Canadian visitor- no i-94" etc which is what I planned on doing. Then putting Canadian visitor in "current status" and expires on would be the date 6 months after I entered..

Do I go the route of the electronic i-94 ??
