Hello there
We do not have enough income on financial support
I probably will take co-sponsor (brother's wife)
Petitioner began working with 3 months experience
What documents need to prepare from the petitioner and also from co-sponsor

this is necessary from both or only from the co-sponsor?
I-134, W-2, 1040, tax transcripts, paychecks?
The Bank statement?
Letter from employer?

Thanks

what if you just started a new job about a month ago? As the petitioner do you still need an employment letter, bank statements, and last year/3 years of w2, or just the I-134 since their's a co-sponsor involved?

If you filed taxes, then you should provide your most recent tax transcript and at least your most recent pay stub.

Most people don't need to provide the last 3 years of taxes, just the most recent. If your consulate instructions specifically ask for the last 3 years or you are self-employed and replying only on tax returns to prove income, then provide 3 years instead of just the most recent one. This applies to primary and co sponsors. Also, bank statements are usually not needed either, unless you need to prove assets or some non-taxable income deposits.

as simple as this all seems I still find this part of the process very confusing. Me, the petitioner retired/let go from my job of 22.5 years last April 2014, I now collect my retirement every month for life, and I just started a job part time 2 weeks ago with very little income. In the near future I should be fine as far as annual income once I get hired full time at a steady job, but that still may not be for at least another few months or so, so my retired 79 year old dad is opting to co-sponsor. Him and I now live in the same household, I moved in with him back in October and this will be my fiancee and I's residence for at least a year once she arrives. In the meantime I contacted the embassy in Abu Dhabi through email which is where my fiancee will be interviewed at in the near future just to make sure if they accept a joint sponsor and they replied and said yes they would. Besides my dad and I filling out separate I-134 forms, my last 2 years of W-2, my retirement summary sheet verifying what I collect monthly from retirement and him submitting IRS transcripts for the past 3 years, bank statements, a retirement letter from where he collects from, SSI annual statement, his naturalization certificate, what else do we have to submit?

Also, I just opened a new checking account so it has very little funds. Would I have to get a letter from the bank officer showing when the account was opened and funds deposited and withdrawn (bank statements) anyways?
