This morning I talked to supervisor too, she told me it will be a week to pull the document and review it. Every individual is giving different answer. I asked Indian embassy to explain the things so that I can approach NVC what's their confusion is. I have received mail from Indian Embassy same I will forward to NVC. I have saw many people in google search facing problem of PCC issued by Indian Embassy. I don't know why they are not making it simple.

they told you to wait 30-40 days.... then you will have to wait, you have to let them verify it too

When I called second time, the representative told me that it will take indefinite time. I mean each individual says different things and honestly it is being very stressful and depressing.

They are incompetent at the NVC, demand to talk to Supervisor, In fact called in the evening and ask to speak to either Liam or David...

Oh thanks a lot.

NVC didn't recognize the Police clearance Certificate issued by High Commission of India at Singapore.

In the month of October, I have received Checklist from NVC, asking for several things including Police Clearance of Singapore and Police Clearance Certificate of India . Both of these item had detail address from where to obtain and how to obtained these certificate? I have done exactly same and obtained both the Certificate. They had approved all the papers including AOS and D-260 papers excluding PCC issued by High commission of India at Singapore and NVC slapped me with a checklist on 17th of this month saying that they don't have ( they didn't recognize the PCC of India). I called and tried to explain NVC I can't bring other paper this is what High Commission of India at Singapore issued. They understood and told me they will take 30 to 40 days from now to clarify the same. Like seriously what's my mistake in this, why don't they clarifying the paper and checking what they are looking for. Just in rush they can do anything and ruin so many days. I am attaching the same certificate which NVC had rejected, can anyone please tell me what's wrong in this. I have intentionally crop my details ( hope you guys understand).

Thanks

According to my understanding to get PCC from India, you have apply in Passport office of India. They are the one who issues PCC for US Embassy.

I hope this helps.

I am in Indian staying in Singapore Currently since 2010. If any document I need like Birth Certificate or PCC it will be issued by Passport office of India ( High Commission of India) Located at Singapore. For your understanding see the attachment in my very first post. So that's where I have applied.

______10 - PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:
• All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police
certificates from the local Passport Office.
Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their
local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.
• Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District
Police Station serving their area of residence.
• Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying
outside India.

Hello there,

sorry for delayed reply but we are also facing same issue ......my husband is from India and currently he is in Canada and will have the interview in Montreal......NVC asked us to provide PCC from India which he obtained from local Indian consulate in Canada.......apparently our document has been lost the first time we sent the package and second time we sent it we got checklist requesting PCC from India.......i called NVC and they told me supervisor will review the document since some documents of the package we sent hasn't been reviewed and wait 42 days but it can be sooner..........called again and they said it is still under supervisor review call back in two weeks...........so i guess we just have to wait and hope they accept it..................ill keep you updated and you also do the same so we know what to do next............... :clock:

I will for sure and I also asked High Commission of India office to provide me the explanation for the same. They send me an email. In addition to this, I asked my attorney to send an expedite request to NVC, since it's not my request.

I also request you to help me to bring this issue to Indian General Secretary Office. It's kind of insulting thing for Indian Consulate that they are not recognizing the paper work provided by NVC. Right now I am on call with NVC too.

Is your Single document was missing (PCC) or NVC lost all the documents? That's funny that they are loosing documents.

i sent it 4 seperate emails containing documents and for 60 days they kept telling me that its under review and after 60 days they said they are missing all the documents...........it sounds funny but its frustrating because we waited 60 days for nothing......we weren't the only one... some of the VJ members supported us because they had same issue too

I am sorry use "funny" word. I can totally understand the pain you guys are going through. It's same here. Yeah it is very very frustrating.

Next thing I just ended a call with NVC and I talked to supervisor. I have brought this issue to supervisor. Here it is what I have told them.

" I have been to several threads on internet, what I come to know that Most of the Indians living abroad provided PCC ( issued by local consulate office) to NVC, received checklist and there is something wrong. I also have an email from Officer from High Commission of India for the same issue. Supervisor was surprised by the same. But you know at the end they said same thing that I need to wait till next week and they will give me review."

What exact mistake Indian Embassy is doing is they don't put tittle on the certificate they issue instead they title it as " TO WHOMSOEVER CONCERN" That's really not clear and they put endorsement stamp on random page of passport saying " Police Clearance Certificate issued on date -------- and ref: no:.

at the end of the page they put stamp and signature of issuing authority. I am very sure that your husband passport also will have same thing. So when you call to NVC please explain representative and supervisor that there is confusion in identifying the certificate and your husband has passport stamp in passport and you have provide the original letter which you obtained from passport office. Because when it happened first time this is representative asked me how they can know that this is PCC, this is how I explained them.
