I read in a topic while ago that we can't staple the forms.

Is that true or can I staple forms without worring about it?

They won't send your application back just because you'd stapled your papers together, but it's best if you use those Acco fasteners. I used paperclips and elastic bands.

Also, do your really want to irritate the person that will adjucate your case. Keep it friendly so they are in a good mood while reviewing your case.

No, but they think geeze, didn't this guy read the directions and look for tiniest of errors to send an RFE (maybe something minor left unchecked or decide you need more proof), thus a delay.

They ask for ACCO fasteners on their site, and I think that not using them after you've been told by them is a bit silly seeing as they obviously want them for a reason that makes filing your papers and keeping them together easier. I think we all want our cases handled as fast as possible and even though it's a tiny thing it could make the tiniest difference in making the processing of a case faster, and when you add that to hundreds of thousands of cases it may even make a difference. Maybe I'm reaching a bit (or way) to far, but I think if they ask for it you should give it Go to Staples or Office Depot or somewhere of the like and they can lead you to the ACCO fasteners. I feel a lot better knowing my papers are securely together whereas clips and even staples (you can't staple as many papers as they want all in one big bunch, way too much paper) aren't as secure to me.

Staple the multiple pages or each form together. Same for multiple pages of a single document. (Or print them double-sided, head-to-toe rather than the typical side-to-side.)

Just don't go stapling all the supporting documents together or to the forms.

I don't have the link but there is a place in USCIS docs where it specifically says NOT to use Acco fasteners. This came as a surprise to me because I used them for my I-129F and thought that was what they wanted. Confirmation that they do not want them came in the form of having my AOS application returned for another reason (wrong year on check). The Acco fasteners had been removed.

Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.
