Though unique visitors is also important but it does not guarantee you will make a lot of money from that. The high payment from Google Adsense for a publisher is from clicks. I have been deal this for over 3 months now how to build readership for my own news website and monetize its daily visitors.

If the site get's blacklisted there will be no revenue. That's already the driving force behind the family friendly designation.

I would have to guess most of the revenue traffic the site generates is related to the content in the upper forums. This forum is a little more sketchy. It's straightforward to block adult content, violence and illegal stuff. It's usually the grey area stuff that get's you into trouble with online advertising.
