Only the foreign spouse that is applying for AOS needs to send the G-325A. The forms are all about the person applying. The only form needed by the USC petitioner is the I-864 and supporting documents that go with it.

Timeline

While everything that I have read and believe says that only the foreign alien spouse needs to complete a Form G325A. At my family's AOS interview, the IO instructed me (USC) to fill out another Form G325A, with a firm admonition not to sign it unless in his presence. I have come to believe that my experience was an anomaly initiated by a IO on a power trip, a rather heavy-handed coercion tactic. BTW, nothing had materially changed from the initial G325A filing with my K1 petition submission, except added years at the same residence and employment.

YMMV, and likely should vary.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
