Hey everybody,

My wife and I just called the NVC and found out our case is complete, looks like it was as of December 18th. (Nice) lady from NVC told us that January scheduling is booked, and that at the earliest we will be getting an interview in February. Can anybody help out here, any ideas? With january being booked, good chances for February or more likely March? We are very hopeful for February. If it goes past February, my wife, our dog and myself will need to fly back to the US so I can start school, then fly back for the interview.

Also, does anyone anticipate any issues that we travel back to the US (with our pup) while we wait for the interview, then fly back for it? I don't see how it would be an issue. We've already flew there and spent time with my parents and brother last year. If customs asks anything, we're just back to visit family (which really is the true reason for it, haven't seen them for over a year!!). Just want to make sure we won't have any issues!!

Thanks everybody,

Happy Holidays and good luck to us all!

Sorry everybody, A little confused with the scan date? How do we find out when it was? Just got an email from NVC about having all of our documents needed to complete our case on the 18th, we called on the 22nd and we're told that our case was complete.

Also, the lady from the NVC was really nice about it, but mentioned she had no idea when our interview would be (as expected), but she kinda scared us a little by saying it could be as far as June/July. We think she meant it as an expression of just really saying she didn't know when it would be. Does anybody really expect that our interview date would be much past February/March? Obviously we can't know for sure, but we are really hoping for February!!

Happy Holidays everybody, we're almost there!!

The scan date is the date that your documents were scanned into the NVC system not the date they received them . You can call and ask for your documents scan date . It can take a few days or so after receiving the documents before they are scanned into the system .
