Ceac status shows administrative processing like it normally would. I checked his thing online & an hour ago it said no 221g issued. He just got home. He checked his folder & there's no police certificate. He did find a photo copy of it though...

I am the petitioner.

He's ordering another certificate. It'll be sent out on Monday. At a guess, it'll only be delayed a week. Dear god I hope that's it.

Thank you. He was told the embassy will have it on Monday/Tuesday. So...it's just a matter of them opening it. If it weren't for the holidays...it would go faster. God this still sucks.

Look at it as if he is approved, cause technically he is. They are just missing that document. Re-send in the police certificate, and it will be fine.

I've never known Knightsbridge to keep a police certificate. They make a copy and hand it back so it can be taken to the interview. There is only one police certificate for the interview. There is also a Subject Access Report to document any "hidden" or stepped down charges that would not be on the police certificate. I am only clarifying the names and purpose for those who got off on the long and short version discussion. It's a UK thing so does not apply to anybody else from another country reading this.

I remember this same situation before in London, but they accepted the Subject Access Report because he said it fortunately had ??? on it. I just can't remember what else it needed...his birthdate? I dunno. Forgot.

If I was desperate, I would prepare a cover letter, photocopy of the 221g, photocopy of the police certificate, and photocopy of the Subject Access Report. Explain that Knightsbridge kept the original, but claims they don't have it now. Ask that they check the medical file again for the police certificate or please accept the photocopy because getting a new one will seriously delay the wedding plans you are trying to accomplish in January. Then take that down to the closest DX depot to have it couriered to the embassy. That is the only courier you can use...the one who is contracted by the embassy. It's a long shot but if you are truly desperate.....

There is a list of the DX depot locations in UK regional forum. Find it in the pinned thread "London K1. A complete guide."

I'm gonna assume you mean 1-15-2014 put up to 1-5-2014 being 1-15-2015 put up to 1-5-2015.

They had to have kept it. He's organized & the police certificate isn't in the Knightsbridge envelope with everything else he had. So, someone made a mistake. Regardless, he called agpo & they already sent out his certificate to the embassy. It's addressed to go directly to the non immigrant visa department & has his case # on it & everything with the assurance it will be received on either Monday or Tuesday. So, provided the lady looks at it right away, it'll only be delayed a few days. He was told that it'd be 10 days after they received it that he'd get his visa.

It's still heartbreaking that this happened...

#######, should he send in the blue form with it? Or will it suffice that his case number is attached?
