Sends a pretty clear message encourging illegal behavior. That seems to be what it's all about these days anyway. Don't like how things are going, break the law and do it your own way.

Does make you wonder what other stuff is in those e-mails the hackers got.

Think about what was leaked already. It's personal stuff that folks don't want the light of day to hit. People tend to let their real feelings be known when they think it's in confidence.

Probably best to assume that any email you compose could be on the front page of the Ney York Times tomorrow. Safer that way.

That doesn't even make sense. They'd have to release it to know if it was a flop. Wouldn't they?

'Desperately unfunny': More leaked emails reveal Sony executives thought North Korea movie would flop over 'weak' acting and 'unbalanced' script seen as 'another misfire' from Seth Rogen and James Franco

Forget the politics: Sony Pictures was pretty much begging for someone to kill its 'desperately unfunny' comedy on the fictional assassination of North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-Un.

Leaked emails reveal Sony executives were concerned about the action-comedy featuring Seth Rogen and James Franco — even before hackers believed to be 'state sponsored' by North Korea threatened the company and forced it to shut the movie down.

'The unanimous point of view here is that this (is) another misfire from the pairing,' said an e-mail purportedly written by Peter Taylor, of Sony Pictures UK.

All indications were that the movie was going to be profitable.. The estimated costs to Sony for pulling the movie and damage to its reputation is close to half a billion dollars. Had they released the movie and zero people attended the cost would have been 40 million for the movie plus 30 million in promotion... That also assumes zero people rented the DVD, did pay per view, zero from the pay station like HBO, and finally by the networks and commercial cable stations. Your argument makes no sense. The movie would have done 20-25 million its opening weekend alone even if it was a total bomb.

North Korea 1 USA 0.

I would like to say North Korea 1 Sony zero but in the minds of North Korea yeah you are probably right... Since Obama has promised a response we will have to wait and see, a hard enough slap down might reset the game.

Anyone want to put odds on their being a south park episode about this before the end of January?
