You can track when they ship it with DHL right?

I have no idea about that. Where do we get the DHL tracking number? On the CEAC website it says "In Transit to consulate".

Hmmm - I feel like I saw something about DHL somewhere on VJ - but I could be entirely wrong about that. Maybe the DHL was for something different.

You are right!! I tracked it... thank you. They actually sent my case out yesterday and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

For those who've already had their cases shipped from the NVC to their respective embassies, how long does that process usually take? Just a few days, right?

We got out case number on Friday, so my fiance booked his medical yesterday for January 12th but they said they want him to bring the letter confirming the embassy received our case (which obviously, they haven't yet - but because all we needed was the case # to book the medical, we did what most London applicants do and booked it with just the case #).

But now I'm hoping and praying the NVC ships it to the embassy before the holiday (so it'll technically be traveling over the next few days) so he can get packet 3 to bring with him to the medical.

I'm confused about this too. Please let me know what you find out. My finance's medical is booked in London for Jan. 3rd and our case has been "In transit" since Dec 19th. Although, according to the DHL website that was linked it should be arriving in London tomorrow.

I think it'll arrive tomorrow just like the DHL website says/ Hopefully the embassy will make contact with you either Friday or Monday.

So we're in the same boat! I'm kinda panicking as to when he'll be receiving packet 3. Please keep me posted since you're a bit ahead of us. Fingers crossed it works out for both of us in a timely manner

How did you know when the embassy received your case?

I tracked mine through DHL. I know that it got there exactly one week ago and based on user data, I figured that it takes and average of 4-5 days before the beneficiary receives the next packet. Unfortunately my fiance has not received it yet, and with Christmas and New Year's coming, I'm getting more than a little anxious to start the next step . . .

So here's something that I hope is normal, does this mean it's on it's way to our embassy? We never got an interview date from them (obviously) just our case number when i called last week. Did everyone else's say this once it left NVC?:

It's a standard status, when your case is on its way to the Embassy that's what you see. Once it gets to the Embassy the next stage will then start!

I got the same message from NVC. Once the embassy receives the case then you will be able to proceed and schedule an interview... you're almost there

Yup, CEAC will start with AT NVC, then IN TRANSIT and then READY, but be aware that READY doesn't always mean your case is with the Embassy and already into their system. Mine was changed to READY couple days ago, however it was potentially received at the Embassy today if I was tracking the right package with DHL. If it wasn't my package it was just a huge coincidence they had a package from NVC to Rio de Janeiro Embassy exactly on the same day they told me they shipped my case! I read somewhere here on VJ that they change the status once the case is available n the system (By NVC) to be processed by the Embassy (Not sure about it, but kinda makes sense since I know my case was not there already when they changed it).

This process makes us go crazy..Funny line: I was getting off work and I saw a DHL motorcycle going to the American Embassy Direction, the guy stopped at the red line and I tried to ask him if he was heading to the Embassy, lmao. Good thing the red light turned out green and I didn't make to reach him, lol! It would sound (And it is) so desperate, lmao. I was even considering going to the Embassy to see if he was going there, however my shoes were killing me and I didn't feel like walking for additional 5 minutes, lol!!!

If you know when they shipped your case you can go to DHL website and track it using EXP ___ DEC 2014A and then select your country!!! But you should consider the day before they said they shipped because it gets prepared in advance. For instance mine was sent on the 19 but my tracking reference was 18.

Hope everyone that celebrated yesterday had a very Merry Christmas!! Just think, in a year from now we'll (hopefully) all be celebrating the holidays with our spouses!!!! So exciting!

Has any one been tracking their cases in the last few days? Or heard from their embassies? I tried tracking our case via DHL like everyone said but it keeps saying reference not found.

Anyway, hoping everyone's holidays are going well!

Oh yeah! Some countries have a national holiday today. Not the US though, because I'm definitely working today hahaha
