Congratulations on approval! I'm so happy for all you guys!

My appointment is april 7 I can't wait!

We have to keep up in an aos topic. I've put together a checklist with everything I need for the aos. If anyone wants it I can always try and post it here.

Brilliant idea :) Go ahead and share it with the rest. I didn't really look into AOS yet but surely I will when I get there.

Lol! It definitely is Sooo much!

I got my info from here.

http://www.mrspresson.com/immigration/adjustment-of-status-aos-k1-visa/prepare-aos-package-forms-requirements-checklist/

However she did have a lot of stuff I'm not including all of that. But I checked with my finances bank and motorized copies are free there. Wells Fargo. So I'm thinking about doing that for important copies. Since it's free anyways.

But that helped me a lot.

I'll post my list when I get home tonight.

I'm a littl ocd when it comes to papers lol

I'm literally going through and downloading all the forms for AOS right now. It's giving me a headache already - and my fiance isn't even here yet! :bonk:

Feb.23,2018: Mailed I-751 to CSC

Mar. 21, 2018: Received NOA

how were you able to reschedule? at what point in the process were you allowed to reschedule? what was your motive to get them to change the date?

Once I already booked my appointment I went back to the calendar a few days after and noticed there was an earlier date available (maybe someone withdrew the petition? Rescheduled their interview? The embassy opened up more appointments? No idea why it was open...) and then I rescheduled it. We only had four days to get everything together but it was worth it. Everything at our embassy is done electronically, so once the embassy gets your packet and it says "ready" the footwork is all yours. Hope this helps!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

We called NVC last week, they already received our case but they don't know when our case will reach embassy.

then we called in this morning, they basically told me the same thing as last time. Our case still in NVC.

they gave us a new case number.it say ''Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html for additional information.''when i checked number.

it will be say different when they sent our case to embassy?

its hard to waiting.

That AOS list is awesome, thanks guys for putting it together, but I have been told that this applies more for interview, they understand that when you are initially filing for AOS right after POE and marriage you won't have much of that stuff. So I confirmed this with an immigration lawyer I work for and she said just submit as much proof as you have but don't go mad if you don't have a joint bank account, life insurance, etc. At the initial stage they want to see mainly that you're living together and got married, the rest comes later

Sorry to post twice but I'm just wondering how early should we turn up for our interview? It's this friday at 9:15 am, if we are there an hour before, that should be fine, right?

You probably should read the consulate reviews on VJ to give you a good idea. For instance, every Jakarta review says, "We couldn't wait in line until 30 minutes before our appointment time. We were told to go somewhere else until then." The embassy gave us the same instructions too.
