How do you guys know how far away you are from interview? Don't we need to have our fiance/fiancee go for the medical and recieve a package from the embassy which we will help them complete before the interview?

We got approved on the 16th so I'm assuming our papers will only make it to the embassy some time in January and then he can go for the medical? This second part is very confusing...

Big week we had! received our case ready yesterday after almost 3 weeks! got packet 2 today! and send it back today! next week ill get my interview and medical date!!! almost done!! can't wait!

I think every embassy is different. I don't know the interview date yet. But seeing other cases in Bolivia, I can guess that it'll be late January or early February. In our case, the embassy gives us the interview date before the medical, usually a month or so from after they received our case.

Right now I am waiting on them so they can email me Packet 3.

the game of waiting again and again

we got our approval on Dec 2nd and we were supposed to receive something from NVC

we've been calling them over and over and it's been the same answer ((nothing is on the screen yet, please wait for 35 days)).

we called USCIS and ended up with the same answer ((wait 35 days, then you can esquire about your case))

it's really funny to see all people's cases with the same patch and same approval date have been shipped to the proper embassies while we are stuck in somewhere

waiting and frustration again, and again there is no answer :clock::clock::clock::clock::clock:

Dohan - what genr87 said is totally right - every embassy is different. Definitely check out the region specific threads on VJ to see what the process will be like for you. I know for London, my fiance can book his medical as soon as we have a case number from the NVC (which he did this morning). Definitely do the research so you know the process :)

Oh Yamen, I feel for you :( Just keep calling, hopefully they'll get it this week. Or even today!

For those who've already had their cases shipped from the NVC to their respective embassies, how long does that process usually take? Just a few days, right?

We got out case number on Friday, so my fiance booked his medical yesterday for January 12th but they said they want him to bring the letter confirming the embassy received our case (which obviously, they haven't yet - but because all we needed was the case # to book the medical, we did what most London applicants do and booked it with just the case #).

But now I'm hoping and praying the NVC ships it to the embassy before the holiday (so it'll technically be traveling over the next few days) so he can get packet 3 to bring with him to the medical.

Two days after receiving the case number, my case was sent to the embassy. They still haven't received it so I don't know how long that usually takes.

Thank you! I'm keeping an eye on the status and it still says "At NVC" so I hope they ship it today.

You can track when they ship it with DHL right?
