UPDATE: Just got off the phone with NVC - they received our case today and gave me our case number!!!!!! :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

For anyone else who's approved case was shipped from TSC to NVC on 12/12 (JolyDan, looking at you!) call, call, call!!!

Great news! It shouldn't take them long to send it off to your consulate, good luck

Big week we had! received our case ready yesterday after almost 3 weeks! got packet 2 today! and send it back today! next week ill get my interview and medical date!!! almost done!! can't wait!

My file was sent over to nvc dec 5.

They havent recieved it yet.

Could it be lost or something?

Hi,

It's probably there, however sometimes they take a little while to put into the system and they guidelines here recommend us to wait two weeks, so I believe you're in the normal timeframe. When I called at first they said my case was not there even after a week and the next day it was there, however no case number at the time since they were still processing it. Try to give a call by 7am UST (They work from 7 to 12 midnight). It didn't take me so long when I called exactly 6:59 am.

Awww! Well, I saw Riddy got their number so I figured, best to try! Definitely call first thing Monday. As for your question, every embassy is different. Because we have our case number, my fiancé can book his medical appointment before getting packet 3. So he'll be doing that first thing Monday morning.

Definitely check with other VJ threads and see what your process is like (sorry I can't be more help - here's hoping Canada let's you book the medical with just the case number!)

From what you guys are saying looks like it takes 10 days to get the case number which for me will be Dec 26th LOL yeahhhh I'm just gonna sit tight until January LOL NOBODY is going to be picking up any phones between Christmas and New Years haha.

Hey guys, just got a letter in the mail from NVC stating they've mailed my case off and included my case number. So if you are having trouble reaching them be advised that once they send the case off they will send you an update in the mail with all the information you need :)

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

Thank you so much TheAndies. I just don't want them to bother about any minor detail. Everyday we are getting a little closer to the interview process and it's a little scary. I have been with my fiance almost 7 years and it's funny how I am scared that they might not believe our relationship is real. Anyways positive thoughts and energy.

I signed all my documents with blue pen and seems like it's acceptable. I feel you. I have been with my man for 5 years ( have known each other for 8, lived together for almost 2 years ) and sometimes I catch myself thinking that they can reject us at the embassy. My case perhaps is at NVC now so I am still like a month or so away from the interview. I better try to keep the stress at bay :)
