Full of questions today...

Is the $265 visa fee for the spouse only? I'm bringing his son as well and the fee chart doesn't specify. I'm assuming it's $265 per person.

I dont know the exact fee, but there is another fee for the child as well. Depends on the consulate and the age i believe. Look at the website for your consulate

Finally got through to the NVC and received my case number and Invoice #, but they said it hasn't made it to the consulate yet. Trying to remember next steps and why can't I pay for the visas and schedule interviews yet.

Great news on getting your case number! I'm sorry you had to wait to so long, because of all these storms.

I think from previous posters on here, in DR you have to wait for the embassy to contact you to schedule your interview. Once your case makes it to the embassy and they confirm receipt (again not sure if you can contact them, we were able to contact our consulate), they should provide instructions on what to do. But basically you will need PCC, medical, and biometrics done prior to the interview. Payment is the last step before the interview, usually.

Check your regional forum for the exact steps. Since the consulate in Mumbai doesn't contact us, we had to initiate everything and were able to schedule everything ourselves, which made things move along quicker.

In the meantime make sure the USC petitioner has the taxes done, and fills out I 134 and complete all the financial details and gather that paperwork.

Ditto. I've been waiting a week since I got my case number. Hopefully it's soon!

Yeah I'm now waiting two weeks :/ you'll probably get it sent out soon though. I'm thinking mine is taking longer because my fiance is from Pakistan. The wait is making me a little nervous.

two weeks is normal to wait for case number. Have you called NVC after it's been two weeks? Or are they saying they don't have your file yet?

Guys, I have my invoice number and case number as well. The status still shows at NVC on the CEAC website, what I was wondering is that if my fiance can go ahead and fill out the DS160 and get the DS 160 number and get her medical done or does it have to be at the consulate first? Kindly enlighten me on this so that I can proceed further with this! Also, I had sent her my bank statements and my letter of intent and everything January 10th the statements are dated for december 24, 2014. Will thos still be good? I am waiting to get my W2 for this year will send her a copy of that. sent her last 3 yrs income tax returns and my paystubs as well! Is that still good or does she need new ones now?

She also got her police clearance certificate in the mail yesterday!

Does the letter from the parent that gives permission to allow the child on the K2 visa travel to the U.S. Need to be notarized or completed by an attorney? My fiance is stating that he was told that we needed to have it notarized and provide the travel information in order for the other parent to sign but we won't have travel info until after the interview, aproval, and visa issuance. I think he's being given misinformation. Can anyone verify?

question: what's the invoice number and beneficiary number for? when I called the NVC I only got the case number, and we have not received any hardcopy from the NVC. Should I be calling again to get the invoice number and beneficary number?

Our instructions marked DS 160 as a step that gets done after you have the PCC and the medical. But I've looked at DS 160 and there is really nothing on there that would require you to wait to complete it. But honestly check with your local instructions. We were able to book the medical appointment as soon as the documents were confirmed by the embassy as received but on the day of the medical my fiance had to bring a letter from the embassy which gave him instructions, again might be different from you guys.

I am not sure about the paystubs, can someone else respond on that point?
