i received an email yesterday that it was sent to Dept of State aka NVC. Wont call til mid oe end if next week for case number.

Hey guys. So I checked the ceac site and my case says ready. What's next?

With regards to the ds 160 I have helped my fiancé with that. It's just general information. All I can say is answer that as honestly as possible. Consulted with my immigration attorney and she said certain information is ok to put no knowledge or not applicable.

My next question is how long is the employment letter valid for?

And lastly, if anyone knows, when my fiancé got her birth certificate, she asked for the one for the visa. They gave her the extract and not the in extensa version. That's going to be an issue right? I figured I would have gotten an RFE for that which I didn't. Any thoughts anyone?

Your fiance has to do the medical and schedule the interview (unless in DR the date is assigned?) You also have to prepare all the financial info form yourself I 134, tax returns for past 3 years, recent paystubs, any letters from you if you did not file income tax for any years. Not sure if US embassy in DR requires packet 3 and 4, if yes, then send them whatever they need. Oh and I think PCC but again, I don't know how that works in DR.

Check your regional forum, people there definitely will have a guide or something on this. Good luck, you're almost there!

For DS-160, on the travel page where they ask for application receipt/petition number, are they asking for the receipt number issued by TSC/CSC, or the case number issued by NVC?

receipt number/petition number is the number u were given by CSC/TSC it's on your NOA1 and NOA2

Happy Monday everyone! My fiance was here in NY with me last week and while he was here, packet 4 arrived at his house in London and we found out his interview is on Feburary 11th!

Has anyone else received interview dates yet? Or had their interviews? Would love to hear about recent experiences from this group!! We're all getting so close to this part of our journey being over!!

Also, Alicia - glad you got your approval, despite the hiccup, it's better than having to start from scratch

We're going to have our interview in March because we are waiting on my and co-sponsor's financial documents. Do you guys think the Consulate will care that we waited to do the interview? Can't really walk in there without the financial support stuff....

Dohan - I don't think that would be an issue. If you lack the paperwork, wouldn't they just put you on AP until they get it anyway? I'd wait too and just get it all over and done with all the paperwork needed in one day

well I could have used 2011, 2012 and 2013 for financial which I tjink most ppl did but I was in school 2011 and 12 so no tax returns and instead of the letters I wanted to show I am now working. I thought it would look better than saying I didn't work 2011-12, then worked abroad and oh btw here is my co-sponsor lol.

Dohan - Ha! Yeah, I know how you feel. I had a few questions regarding my i-134 that I posted in the UK forum (I'm a freelancer, new job, didn't wanna send my tax returns from 2013 because I make more now than I did then, etc.) so I know where you're coming from. That form is so simple, but SO stressful especially for people who are recent grads or just starting out or that don't have a FT 9-5. But I think you're doing the right thing, it'll work out

And thanks! It's down to the wire now, so we're just making sure everything is in order. I'm praying we get approved without any issues. He'll still have to serve his notice at work and all that fun stuff, so realistically, he probably won't be here until April. But boy am I glad that things move fast post-TSC. What a pain that was!!!
