The lady from the NVC gave my our number. I tried to log in but its asking for a invoice number. Where can i find that number?

Or am i trying to log in on the wrong website?

You don't need the invoice number to check the status (but you can get that from NVC too). Your case number should be 3 letters (the city where the petition is going) then 20155 then 5 more digits (ex: MNL2015512345).

It probably is. Give it a day and then enter it again. They may not have entered it yet. It could be that fresh.

California service center is a bit slower on the NVC part.. Hope you get it soon though!

Did you select the Immigrant Visa option? If yes, and it's still not working, give it 24 hours, if they only assigned your number today. It's pretty early in the day, maybe they need to update the system

Mine was sent to NVC on Jnauary 15th. It is exactly one week today. I was going to wait another week but seeing how you guys have gotten your case numbers today, I may give it a shot. What do I need to ask for? Is it just the case number? Or something else?

Just have your noa2 hardcopy ready. So far they just ask right away for yoy receipt number be for you even speak. I wish I could tell you what happens after that but I usually hang up after they tell me they have nothing. Good luck. You're so close to the NVC that it might be done already. Give yourself an hour to wait on hold though.

For us just receipt number too. But, following some VJ instructions they can ask for petitioner and beneficiary full names and birth dates, also the day you got your NOA2. So, is good have that ready.

Case number, invoice ID, beneficiary number. I am not sure what the other two are for, but might as well get them while you have them on the phone.
