I will find a job within a month. I don't have any family member in USA. I am only one who live in US. I have a friend who can co- sponsor if I ask to him. how about a friend? Can he co-sponsor ?

I have heard that friends have acted as co-sponsors but please check with US embassy in your country if this is allowed, or also check the regional forum

Big week we had! received our case ready yesterday after almost 3 weeks! got packet 2 today! and send it back today! next week ill get my interview and medical date!!! almost done!! can't wait!

I just called in today after i have been trying for about 2 weeks to get my case number they finally gave it to me but didnt not ask when it was assigned or either it was sent to the embassy or not.

Now that you have your case number you can continue tracking in on the department of state website (ceac...) when it is shipped it will say "in transit" and when embassy receives it it will say "Ready"

Make sure you select the immigrant visa option when tracking there :)

Ok. Ive been rummaging through posts for hours now. Can someone please end my misery and direct me to where I can find the phone # to call to get my NVC case number. My petition was approved a week ago and id like to see if I can get it. Thanks guys. Sorry to have to ask.

Thank you. My internet is so slow you probably saved me a few hours

I just got off an hour and half call with NVC and they told me my case was received today. My noa2 was on NYE. So if you don't get a case number maybe just wait another week. It's tough waiting so long on hold. The people are waaayyy nicer than USCIS though.

I just got off an hour and half call with NVC and they told me my case was received today. My noa2 was on NYE. So if you don't get a case number maybe just wait another week. It's tough waiting so long on hold. The people are waaayyy nicer than USCIS though.

I never get anything but a busy signal unless a get a message telling me the mailbox is full

Yeah I had to redial around 50 times, not exaggerating. It's tough to get through. I would suggest calling in the morning if you can. After a holiday is always busy day :/
