Oh no alicia, I'm so sorry. My heart breaks for you :'(

This also scares me a little too. Idk if it'll be an issue that I only visited my fiance once. It was for a month and my entire family went with me to meet him. But idk if that can end up being an issue.

I only met my fiancee once. That's all that's required. As long as you can provide proof

Omg Alicia, I am so sorry. Maybe it's a mistake? Has he tried contacting the embassy? It seems very strange they would deny after saying he was fine. Did they keep his passport? I'm praying you can get through this. If they did not properly process your documents this is a violation of human rights to family life! Don't give up the fight!

OMG Alicia, I am so, so sorry. My heart is absolutely broken for you. There has to be options for you guys. I've read on here that some people who get denied K1s get married and file for spousal visas. Maybe consult with an immigration attorney to see if you can do anything to appeal or what the process is to go that route. We're all here for you!! (L) (L)

I only met my fiancé once. We planned to meet a second time before her interview, after our Petition as approved so quickly, it frankly no longer makes sense. We've got proof of an entire month together and we chat daily. If they say, "that's not enough," it would mean they weren't going to grant the visa regardless. That's my attitude, anyway.

Does anyone's fiance have children that they are planning to bring with them? I'm trying to weigh the benefits of bringing my fiances 12 year old sin now or waiting until we are more settled and doing a follow to join within the year.

Thanks, Dohan. I actually already tried, and evidently failed, to make a timeline here...I'll try again.

Your timeline was quite fast. Wow. If ours goes as quickly, it sounds like my fiancé might be interviewed before spring (I dare not hope for that). Then again, based on other posts, it sounds like she might get denied based on a CO's hunch, and we'll need to start over again anyway...

Once a Petition goes from NVC to the embassy, how does the Beneficiary get his/her letter? I fear they'll screw up her address as the original Petition form was so cr@ppy I literally could not input my fiancé's address.

Every embassy/consulate is different. We had to reach out to the consulate in Mumbai ourselves and after two emails they sent us back an email with links and instructions. It looks like Mumbai no longer does the whole packet 3 and 4 thing....

Check your regional forum, best bet are people who have gone through it in your country :)
