Big week we had! received our case ready yesterday after almost 3 weeks! got packet 2 today! and send it back today! next week ill get my interview and medical date!!! almost done!! can't wait!

Also now that we have an approval, do you think a March 21st wedding is still realistic?

My birthday is march 26th so I'm hoping he's here by then haha were in the same boat

I think this depends a lot on the particular consulate/embassy that you will be interviewing with :) Take a look through other cases on VJ that went through the same consulate and check how long it took them to receive packet 3/ get a medical / schedule an interview etc.

We don't know. We had a problem with doctor delivering our medical to the embassy on time. And we just checked CEAC it said reused. Read letter given at interview. He was given the VAWA pamphlet and told that they would contact him when the medical arrived. It arrived yesterday and our status changed to refused. Two years of trying to get married. Gone down the drain. . . Why did this happen to us? We just keep crying. The humiliation of having to cancel all of our plans, telling everyone he was coming. . . I can't stop seeing the words refused over and over. I can't stop crying. . .

How long after you see it has been approved on the website do you get the letter? I saw my petition was approved on the uscis site a few days ago, but no letter yet.

Now that my case has been sent to NVC. WHAT'S NExt? And how long does the case usually take to get to the consulate?

I have the same question as sam, actually.

sam, according to the VJ K1 flowchart, it takes 1-4 weeks, after NVC receives it from USCIS. But it would be terrific if a recent petitioner could comment on how long theirs took?

Im officially part of this group. I was approved this evening and my fiancé is charging his phone as we speak and i cant even tell him yet!!!!!! Lol
