Yeah like the next form and all that needs to be filed. I can't do anything until she sees the paper

I am getting my documents done with a lawyer too and although I wanted to get everything done after my case was approved, there's not much you can do until NVC gives you a case number, My lawyer did not want to file anything until the embassy received my case.

The only thing we did do was email the embassy once I had the case number and I knew my package was being sent. Other wise you just have to wait.

Yes, his medical is actually this afternoon. I am hoping it all goes smoothly and that it won't be crazy expensive.

Interview is in 2 weeks, tomorrow we are sending all of the documents they requested for and then it's just a waiting game until the day of the interview. Exciting and yet nervous.

I think without VisaJourney I would not have survived this loooong process.

We had our interview and thanks to the doctor not delivering our medical exam to the embassy before the interview, we are now in AP even though the doctor said he delivered our papers yesterday. . . .

We had our medical exam today but now the doctor told us he is going on vacation oand won't be able to hand in the results until the 27 of January which is one day before our interview!!!

I am freaking out. Will that be okay if the embassy gets the results only oneday before the interview....

I think you should be fine. As long as they have the medical there should be no reason for your case to be treated like mine. The medical should be simple enough that they can glance at it and say all is good right before the interview. In my case, the embassy said we'll get to it when we get to it, even though they have our papers already. . .

I emailed the embassy twice asking for packet 3 and 4 and my fiance called them directly in Mumbai, they said wait 5 to 6 business days but his medical is next week on Friday and he needs their letter of instruction for the medical. Why is it so difficult to send it out if the status already says ready. Sorry guys, just don't know how to get them moving. It's annoying enough I have to wait until end of January to file my taxes because my bosses take their sweet time with the W 2

I am so worried about my interview. I don't have a date yet but I was reading about red flags and non traditional marriages. My fiance is African American and is 15 years order. We have been with each other for 5 years and lived together for almost 2 years. I have a feeling that they will give me a hard time at the embassy. Poland is considered as a conservative country. Ohhhhh gosh I am panicking

I think you should be ok. Plenty of couples with significant age differences get approved. Your age gap isn't THAT big, plus you've been together for quite awhile. You also lived in the USA before right? Your case is definitely "stronger" than many other petitions (including mine). I really don't think it will be a problem.

The fact that you lived together and have been together for such a long time speaks volumes to the love you share! You are obviously committed to one another and I am sure you front loaded your application with photos and visits. You will be fine! Holding fingers crossed for you!

Thanks for trying to reassure me. We have plenty of evidence showing a bona fide, caring and loving relationship but you know how people are judgmental. On top of that I found out from another Polish girl that her friend didn't get her visa today and need a second interview I am so bummed. I don't know too many facts about them. I guess they lived together for 3 years in Poland. Yes I lived with him in the US for a year and a half and he stayed with me for a month each time he visited me. In total 2 years.

Emcia_81...Breath...Last week I felt a panic attack reading someone else's experience as well. But, each story is very different and you can't allow someone else's experience overcome you and your feelings. This is already stressful enough sweetie. God hasn't brought you this far to leave you hanging. Just relax and be yourselves. Your love for each other will shine through. You can't fake a real 5 year relationship. Let go and let God. I know that but the consul may see it differently. I see loads of young Filipinas getting married to much older guys with 32 years age difference who saw each other only few times and get approved with no problem. Also the muppets on the "90 days Fiance show" . I have no clue how they are getting thru the interview phase so easily.
