Does NVC send any kind of notification when they receive your case or do you have to call them?

The USC petitioner will get a letter in the mail after NVC sends the case to the embassy. It'll have your case number on it. If you can't wait for the letter, you can call them and if they've received it and assigned it a case number already, they can provide you those details.

Hey quick question guyguys

How long did it take you all to get the hardcopy noa2 in the mail? And do you have to get that first before you start contacting the NVC?

I got approved on NYE and got my NOA2 in the Mail last Monday the 5th. I was planning to wait at least a week before calling to give it some time to get there and all. Plus I'm hearing it's not easy to get through.

We got our NOA2 on 12/9 and I got the hard copy in the mail on 12/16. You don't have to wait for the hard copy to start calling, though a good rule is to not call until 2 weeks after you get your NOA2 to allow for time for your case to be shipped to NVC.

Keep an eye on the USCIS website because your status will be updated when they send your case to there (or it might say Department of State - same thing). I waited about a week (I'm impatient) and they had our case/assigned a case number one week after it was shipped there by USCIS.

Does your USCIS online status say it was shipped when you check your receipt number? Depending on the date, you might be able to call now. It won't be easy to get through to NVC - keep calling until you do. you'll get a busy signal several times before getting to the main switchboard.

Ohhh I know where you're coming from. I'm Andie: petitioner and female. My fiance is Andy: beneficiary and male. (yeah, basically the same name...total coincidence, though fun :) ) I made the account for both of us to use, though he doesn't post when he's logged in (that I know of), he just reads through the forums when he's looking for specific answers. In any case, believe me, when I say I understand the name thing - I totally, 10000% understand!!

Ah! Awesome, definitely keep me posted - that sounds like fun! :)

We got engaged on one of the islands, Kos to be exact. He surprised me for my birthday, which also happened to be Greek Easter and I'm half Greek, so it was a really amazing surprise!

I have a large number of friends whose parents came to the US from Kos and now reside in Lancaster, Pa. I love everything about Greece, specially the food :) I could have Greek food for breakfast, lunch and dinner :)

I-864 is filled out for AOS. Now you need to complete I-134 for visa interview. You will send it along with supporting documents as paystubs, employee letter, W-2 or tax returns.

Awwww! We want you here!! If you got an RFE, expect there to be a 3-4 week turnaround. Maybe less. Ours took about 3 weeks from when they received it until we got our NOA2. So you're not far away now!! Your in the home stretch! :)

Welcome to our little group! :) It would help if you filled out your timeline - that way we might be able to answer your questions better. Each embassy has different rules and ways of processing K1s, so once we know where the beneficiary is from, etc. we'd be able to help you more :)

I JUST GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!! 6 days after our RFE notice!

i can't even explain how the moment was! i am still shaking!

Feb.23,2018: Mailed I-751 to CSC

Mar. 21, 2018: Received NOA

April.6,2018: Received extension letter
