So I tried looking for this answer around the site but everything seems to be fairly old so here I am again with more questions about I 134. Folks, if you find this annoying, let me know and I'll start a new topic but figured it would be ok to ask here since we are in the post NOA2 stage.

My fiance's uncle will be our co-sponsor, is it enough if he submits the tax returns for the past 3 years or does he also need to show his paystubs for the past 3 months, and letter from his employer?

K-1 Visa

Big week we had! received our case ready yesterday after almost 3 weeks! got packet 2 today! and send it back today! next week ill get my interview and medical date!!! almost done!! can't wait!

Not annoying, to me at least! I think everyone is asking good questions and I'm glad we can all rely on each other! Sorry if I'm annoying and answering quickly - I noticed I've been doing that! I'm basically glued to my computer for work all day and reading posts/answering on here breaks up all the work emails, discussions, etc. lol

Anyway! From my understanding (and research) the co-sponsor fills out and submits all the exact paperwork that the sponsor would fill out. So...the i-134, tax returns, employment letter, pay stubs, etc. Though each embassy requirement is different, definitely check out the India regional forum here and maybe ask there just to confirm. Hope it helps! :)

OMG! You already have your interview date and it's SO CLOSE!!!! That's amazing! Congrats :)

As for your questions, I honestly have no idea, each embassy has different ways they process K1s (for us in London, they won't schedule the interview until after the medical & packet 3 is done). Maybe try posting in the regional forum for your country? I'm sure others who've gone through the experience from the same country might have better working knowledge of their particular process. Thank you TheAndies. I was able to figure out the DHL thing out of pure luck. My embassy is weird. I have been inconstant contact with a fellow K1 filer and even though they asked for the same things, she presented most of the documents during the interview. Now in the Packet 4 they sent me, they ask for everything to be shipped prior to the interview, including the 2 5x5 passport photos and birth certificate, police certificates,etc.

So literally, does he not have to take anything to the interview? Also should He then take an extra copy of everything again to the embassy on the day of the interview?

Thank you guys sooo much for all the support and help. I am getting closer and closer to the finish line and I definitely would not have been able to do without you all.

Hey guys my case was updated just now and it says my file was sent to the department of state. I thought it is supposed to go to NVC or does it go here first and then NVC?

Department of state = NVC

So once our files are sent to nvc, how do we know that nvc has received them?

You need to call 603-334-0700. It's quite difficult to reach them on first attempt. Good luck :)

You have to contact the NVC to find out. To save yourself the stress and worry, wait at least a week to call them. I waited two weeks but when I called they gave me the case# right away

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

Thanks :) Do you have your interview date scheduled?

At our embassy we can choose a date and the next available date is this Monday, but because I was unaware of this I am not prepared so I am thinking later on in the month or perhaps early Feb. Thank God I am on maternity leave and have some time to get everything in order haha
