Anyone knows what should I use for shipper's reference on DHL page? I tried EXP 05 JAN 2015A but it doesn't work. Thanks!

That happened to me when I first tried to track our DHL shipment, it took about 2 days to actually be searchable in the system from our shipment date. My guess would be it should work tomorrow.

It should take about a week, give or take, to be shipped to NVC. And yes, USCIS will update your case status to say "case has been shipped to department of state".

Hey I got my NOA2 on NYE too also waiting. I'm hoping it'll be sent out this week. I'm really hoping things pick up and move along like everyone says! That wait was killer

Valerie3956, we are at the same consulate and I'm a couple of weeks ahead of you, but for my case it's been pretty fast. I got my NOA2 December 9th, was sent to NVC the 12th, got my number from NVC the 23rd and it left the NVC on the 30th and I just got today (6th) my case ready in Montreal so I was allow to schedule my medical (next thursday the 15th) and i'll be sending my packet 3 tonight so I hope to be able to schedule interview soon!!

so while the docs are in NVC we have started preparing for the next step and I was filling out the I 134 and have a question about items 10 and 11. for item 10 I just put that I have submitted for my fiance and for K1 and the date right?

For number 11 am I or the co-sponsor supposed to explain specific contributions that will be made?

I haven't filled mine out entirely - meaning I haven't printed it off and signed it yet (my fiance will be visiting me next week - yay! - so I'm just going to get that all together then and send it back with him) BUT I have looked at it and had the same questions. So here's what I found with my research:

there's an example of an i-134 already filled out for K1 to show you exactly what's needed:

Checked the CEAC website and now it says "Last updated 01/06/2015" even though yesterday it said "12/30/2014". We are still waiting for the embassy to contact us. Hopefully it will be this week. Lord give me patience and positivism.

We didn't get Packet 3 but just Packet 4. Our interview date is January 28th. I am in complete panic mode but excited and anxious.

Here are a few questions though:

1. We were given the interview date, not assigned via web page. Now when I registered to submit documents to the embassy at http://travel.state.gov/pdf/medical/LPZ-MED-ENGL-0001-0802.pdf I don't know which option to pick to register to DHL.

2. Packet 4 says to fill out DS 260 but I thought it was DS 160 for K1 visa. We already submitted the DS 160. Should we submit both?? Just to be safe??

OMG! You already have your interview date and it's SO CLOSE!!!! That's amazing! Congrats

As for your questions, I honestly have no idea, each embassy has different ways they process K1s (for us in London, they won't schedule the interview until after the medical & packet 3 is done). Maybe try posting in the regional forum for your country? I'm sure others who've gone through the experience from the same country might have better working knowledge of their particular process. unfortunately most Syrian files used to be kept for 60 days at least at NVC, I asked a lot of my relatives who went through the same process recently, all of them got hard time from NVC and all of them were Syrians

shame on you NVC it's obvious discrimination
