Everyone is talking a lot about interviews. Is anyone still waiting for NVC? Heard any news from them? Are they still closed due to weather? Or are they moving? Anyone know anything?

Not closed, not moving. Have you tried calling them? Does your status say forwared to NVC?

I still haven't heard from NVC. I called them over and over until I got the case number. CEAC says our status is "ready" but we haven't received anything since leaving TSC, so it's kind of like you're on your own thought the entire process. Ugh.

I got a letter from the department of state last week saying my case would be forwarded to the embassy in Islamabad. And my case was sent over a month ago.

Geez!! No. Freaking TSC hasn't even changed my status to say they have sent it yet.

Have you had the NOA-2 hardcopy yet?

I'd definitely start calling next week to figure out when/if your case has been sent.

NVC recieved mine from TSC on 2/18 and I just received the NVC letter today 3/1. NVC shipped our case file on Thursday (I believe) and it is currently going through Customs in the Consulate's city of Guangzhou. My CEAC status said "ready" the day after NVC told me they had shipped it. And they don't seem to have shipped it until three days after they told me they shipped it. So my CEAC status was "ready" days before the casefile was even shipped. It is very confusing. But, I assume this discrepancy is because they sent some part of it electronically and then shipped the physical documents a few days later. The waiting for AOS and other things will be so much easier when our fiances are here with us.

Not exactly. I don't know how it is with the Pakistani embassy, but most embassies contact you after they've received the petition from NVC. Many of us never get anything from NVC though (unless we call and get the case #).

So then if you don't call NVC, how can you know when your papers arrive at the embassy.

If you don't call NVC then you won't know your case number and you won't be able to track it on CEAC website. I don't know how it works in Costa Rica but in my case I received a letter form embassy including next step instructions. You can also email the embassy and check with them if they received it or not.

Woo hoo! My fiancé attended the Visa appointment alone this morning and just called to give me the good news: APPROVED!!!!!! I am very happy and extremely happy I found this website, it's been a loooooong 9 months but we finally have received the news we've been waiting for! Thanks to you guys especially, and I'm looking forward to all of your upcoming interviews!!!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

(L)"I remember the days I prayed for everything I have now." (L)
