NVC gave checklist in error

Thankfully the supervisors are extremely nice (at least the one that I got to review the case) - we resubmitted the documents and I would suggest you do the same with the checklist bar code that you received in your e-mail. From what I've read through these forums your case has been attached to a supervisor and when new paperwork comes in with your case it will go to the supervisor reviewing the case so JUST IN CASE your papers were misplaced it's easier for a supervisor to have the new ones there instead of looking around the file rooms for those papers that went missing and if the supervisor doesn't need it well then it just doesn't get used.

I have heard of cases where the files go missing, the filers wait for supervisor review and then 30 days later they still haven't found the papers which then in turn asks them to resubmit them anyways and that takes the additional few weeks to receive and review again. So ere on the side of caution is what I did.

Hi mofatsd, the same quetion hit us now, we got NVC checklist asking for the proof of current employment, proof of usa citizenship , and proof of ownership of bank savings....which were sent to them on october 10!

My husband called NVC, the operator said she would handle our case to a supervisor review, and it takes about 42 days for supervisor to review!

so i guess we should resubmit the documents at the same time too~~

Thanks mofatsd, it's good that your supervisor is extremely nice, I guess you have spoken to the supervisor, i don't know how can you speak to them? you ask the operate to connect to? we are resubmitting documents too and we want to speak to the supervisor~~

I received a check list to recently, and I was sure I had enclosed everything that they said was missing. I rang them up and spoke to a manager. She said she would review the file.

It took awhile for her to get the file, and to actually review it. We called back a few times to see if it had been reviewed yet. I think it took about 2 weeks overall. But the good news is that she did review it, and we then received an email instructing us to disregard the checklist. So if you keep calling back and asking them to review it, and insisting that you have filled it out properly, there is a good chance they will help you.

I had a situation where they said that the dollar amount on one of my kids' AOS didn't match the tax return. They absolutely DID match but that person reading it did not see it that way. I didn't waste any time. I simply sent the EXACT SAME COPY through again and it was accepted. You can see it in my timeline. It was infuriating because of course the numbers matched but it didn't matter. There was no point arguing about it and wasting time. It was more effective to send the same form through again.

I called at the beginning of opening hours - that's probably the best time to call for a supervisor because they aren't busy with their work as of yet.

And just to give everyone a quick heads up about our case - our supervisor pulled the files (took about a week to pull and then review) and came back (with notes on our account) that she states the box was 'unchecked' and there was nothing that she could do to speed up the process. We had already sent in the exact duplicate paper that we printed when we printed the first one (so I'm not sure how in the world that the paper we sent in showed it unchecked...) so the time clock reset around dec. 30th.

We requested an expedite due to the financial loss that we will be facing if we additionally wait the additional time (we submitted account information, documents and offer letters and explanations of why this would hurt our family of 4) and we finally received word that our case will be sent to the embassy for expedited process. We are now waiting for the papers to be sent over to the embassy and getting ready for our physical.

I just wanted to update as if it hadn't been for our job loss and financial status over in the US we would definitely have to wait. I have heard through a couple of reliable sources that when you print out your papers from the online portal, some of the boxes are not printing as checked (even though you have marked it on your computer) - so please heed warning and print, check everything, print again, check everything, ect. It seems because this paper can't be saved or anything that it glitches when it gets sent to the printers...another broken process but hopefully this message will help others who are about to submit.

It was not actually faster for most people at that time. I was one of very few people who got through quickly. There were others who applied at the same time as me who waited a year for approval. I was one of the fortunate folks who had a simple case with no red flags and a ton of good luck!

Mofatsd: So you called to ask for an expedite? they aked you to submit accont information ,offer letters and explanations? My husband and me also wnat to ask for an expedite too, because I work in a high school, but our school was forced to pull down and move to a newly built one, which is still being and much polluted , which will hurt our health, so we want to try to ask for the expedite, any advice?
