everyone,

i filed my I-751 in december 2013 with vermont service center ,bio-matric appoinment was quick, after that case was pending for abut six months ,

when i call to find out what was going on USCIS replied that the case is now with atlanta field office for interview, and they will send a interview date in notice,it was in july 2014 ,

everytime i contact USCIS that case is now out side of normal processing time ,all they do is send a computer generated letter that "case is in suspense untill the interview date is being chaduled "

any idea how long is the waiting time at atlanta field office?

anyone else out there with the same situation ?

No one can tell how long until they will be able to find you an available schedule for I-751 condition. But I believe Atlanta is pretty backlogged now. How about you file N-400 now? They would be forced to adjust your I751. Good luck.

We filed in April 2013 -- same thing. Atlanta is BEYOND backlogged. We were told to just keep making an Infopass appointment each year to extend until they get to us.....

HOLY COW!!!! You guys serious???? It's been over a year and a half and they haven't scheduled yall for an interview yet????

Have you tried to file for N-400?

Dead serious.....

We've talked about filing the N-400 and would like to do so, just don't have that kind of cash to spare right now.

We were told that the Atlanta Field Office is one of the three largest/busiest in the nation, and not to look for anything soon - especially with all the new immigration stuff that's happening.

How about fee waiver? A lot of people here got thru with it. Your waiting is too long already.

We don't qualify for a waiver.....

On a funny note -- because if I don't laugh I'll cry -- we got a letter from the Atlanta office today (1-29-15) telling us that they have received the petition to remove conditions and that the card will expire soon, so we need to make an infopass appointment. The letter was dated 1-26-15....... The card expired in June 2013 and we did make an infopass appt in June 2014 and got the stamp to extend for another year -- They are really on the ball!

We can only hope that MAYBE this means they have gotten down to his case and will be taking care of it soon ?!? Will just have to wait and see.

The last poster hasn't logged on to VJ since November 2016.

Old thread is now closed to further comment.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
