St Luke's Doesn't Accept Email Appointment Confirmation?

 Share

My fiance went there yesterday and the document screening people said she needed a copy that is hard mailed from NVC of her appointment letter. She brought the email confirmation letter.

I haven't received anything in the mail from NVC in the US.... and she hasn't gotten anything mailed to her from the US embassy yet. What do we do?

Has anyone used the emailed appointment letter confirmation? According the St Luke's website, it seems like it would be acceptable, but my fiance went to St Luke's, they said she needed a copy mailed to her.

She brought the confirmation letter from ustraveldocs website after booking appointment date.

You are a K-1. Is somebody confusing yours with an IR/CR-1?

When you sign up for the interview (K-1), you get a receipt emailed from USEM. We used a printout of that, and SLEC took it just fine.

Most everyone uses their email confirmation from scheduling their interview appointment. Your fiancee won't get anything regarding the interview in the mail from USEM

You can email NVC and request your MNL # (information on this process in the link below), then forward the NVC email to your fiancee. If SLEC gives her too much grief have her tell them she got her MNL# over the phone. Per USEM all that is required is the NVC letter OR the interview confirmation page (not both)... SLEC has been playing games with that for few months now.

For details on the complete process in Manila for the K-1 follow the flashing arrow below.

For K1, SLEC document checking station said they needed appointment letter from NVC or USEM and did not allow her to do her medical.

She brought

-Appointment Confirmation from ustraveldocs (print out)

-DS-160 confirmation

-SLEC registration

-2x2 Pix

-Passport

The email confirmation I am talking about is a substantial document that has a bar code on it and the applicant's picture. You get this after you fill out the big online form (the one that takes a few hours of work) and upload your picture. This is what my wife brought to SLEC along with the rest of your list when she went for med.

Right the long DS-160 or DS-260 online confirmation with her picture and bar code, she brought that

-Appointment confirmation (light blue color) from usatraveldocs

-SLEC pre-registration

-Passport, photos

But she got turned around because they wanted another document from NVC.

Hi. I'm sorry that St. Luke's did not allow your fiancee to have her medical. How about printing a screenshot of your case status when you enter your case number using the CEAC website? That and have your fiancee explain to them that you got your MNL # over the phone. Maybe someone who used that before can confirm if St. Luke's accepted it.

I just went to slec today and they accepted my interview letter that I print out ?

Just worried about the personal evaluation I have to come back on Friday ?

Yes they are suppose to accept email confirmation.

What should I bring to my medical examination?

  • Appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail confirmation from the Visa Information and Appointment Service.
  • Appropriate medical examination fee.
  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Three color pictures (2 inches x 2 inches) with a white background (two are for the visa and one is for the medical report).

SLEC is getting to be a real PITA, it may be a good suggestion to print the page from the embassy website that states what is required and give to them.
