So an assault rifle is needed???? Are there no other means to kill a deed? This type of rifle is not needed for the average individual.

ALL weapons are assault weapons when used against another living being. You'll never get sued for assaulting a paper target, nor an in-season animal. Another human? Sure. But an AR-15 is no more an assault rifle than a Mini 14 or a Marlin .22 Magnum.

Neither the gun maker nor the manufacturer of ammunition is to blame for assaults on other humans. I bet no one would go after a Samurai Sword maker if one happened to be the assault weapon of choice.

The funny thing is that in most jurisdictions with the term 'assault weapon', the AR 15 magically loses its assault weapon status when you take away the pistol grip.

Amid the resurgent drilling, Midland officials estimate that the city’s population has swelled by about 8 percent in the last two years, to about 120,000. There is talk of eventually hitting the 150,000 mark. Unemployment in Midland in May stood at just 3.8 percent — the lowest for a metropolitan area in the state — followed by nearby Odessa, at 4.3 percent.

The oil fields offer generous pay, starting at around $15 an hour, Mr. Taylor said. That leaves other businesses scrambling for workers. Along a half-mile stretch of the Andrews Highway, an artery through the heart of Midland, “help wanted” signs are ubiquitous — at Long John Silver’s, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s, Whataburger, CVS and the Way Out West Steak & Buffet.

They make it seem as if the parents are making their children model or play a role in a movie to get rich off of their kids. No one wishes for their children to have a tragic death so they can "get rich" off of them.
