I wonder how many people have sued Anheuser Bush over drunk driving deaths? It's the beers fault that the person drank too much and drove anyway. Or maybe it's the cars fault. And every time someone dies in a car crash, it's the cars fault. Someone gets shot, it's the guns fault. Funny how no one is responsible for their own actions.

Dude, nobody needs access to military style weapons just like normal citizens don't need to drive an army tank everyday. It is overkill.

Ok. But is that the fault of the manufacturer, or the law makers who allow it?

Both. The manufacturer can restrict their gun sales if they want. They won't seal weapons grade uranium to a civilian.

You mean because a weapon that looks menacing is more deadly than the same caliber, cartridge, capacity and firing rate as a civilian looking gun? A .223 from an AR 15 kills you more dead than the identical round from a Ruger Mini 14?

This is less deadly

Than this? Is it because it is black?

I am surprised they are not trying to sue the company that manufactured the bullets.

A empty gun has very little killing potential, It all in the bullet...............

The reason STL stadium can't serve more than two beers to a customer is because some dude sued the stadium when he was involved in a DUI. Welcome to America.

not really ;)

The AR-15 itself has been sold on the U.S. civilian market since the Colt AR-15 Sporter was first advertised as a hunting rifle in 1963.

That same year, the selective-fire cousin of the AR-15, the XM16, began appearing in small quantities for jungle warfare testing in 1963 and a variant was adopted as the M16A1 in 1967. The M16A1 only became the military standard service rifle in Vietnam in 1969, six years after the AR-15 was established on the civilian market as a hunting and utility firearm.

It wasn’t until 1970 before the M-16A1 replaced the M-14 for the Army in the continental United States, Europe, and South Korea.

Maybe they are getting money back on funeral costs, trips to the hospital, insurance costs, hospital bills.

I had a girl who was accidentally killed, her hospital bill for the couple of hours they tried to save her was $150,000

Think back .... maybe 2 people went to the hospital. ... Not a mercy flight was ever called . The coroner declared everyone dead. . Even though he had no Idea how many died and what caliber of firearm was used . The day of the shooting handguns were used. Even the make was broadcasted Had the radio on all that afternoon .Heard that all day long . . The next day it was an ar15.after DOJ showed up. I guess you could mix up a 9mm or .40 cal with a 5.56 shell casing ... There were only what 250 or so casings laying around the school . All the records are sealed. The important ones anyway. With this lawsuit . many things become unsealed.
